If that's the punishment you want, what would you give murders?
If meditated murders proved by confessions and DNA tests, the same punishment

And how are "we" meant to report when there is no lease??? Based on the post above by DrJack54 he said: "You don't need anything from owner. Just your lease."
Why someone will live in a place without blue book access or a lease.

Thai Final Will would have prevented this
A Thai final (even a US will) will does not have any teeth in the US over a married wife unless the married wife has consent to the will.

The US embassy doesn't mention "singlehood " either. And the other poster mentions Marriage certificate ,which is also misleading.
Isn't sworn statements of "singlehood" imply that one is divorced if married before? If it is the proof, US embassy will ask for proof. As usual, US embassy never asks for any proof for a sworn statement. It is your responsibility for the veracity of your statement.

You could exchange the 800K THB to USD or other currency in Thailand then you could take out more cash, but that too has a limit. Not sure what that limit is but it’s a lot higher.
You could take baht outside Thailand and change it. May be not 800K at one time. But 100K each time. In the USA, I have changed around 20K BHT. Not sure if I can change 100K or not. Most of the time I don't change into other currency. Keep my Euro, USD, BHT as it is but never more than 5K USD total.

If you deposited 800K one day and then wanted to transfer it abroad the they would either refuse or want proof of where the funds came from
Can't you take the money in cash and exchange it outside? 800,000 baht is 800 thousand BHT bills (8 bundles of 100 each). What is the legal limit of amount of BHT out?

One thing I haven't heard discussed: Does one have to prove where the 800 thousand came from?
It has been discussed multiple times. Posting the same question is the favorite hobby of TV posters.

I really don;t see why people cannot keep track of their visa/extensions - its the most important thing you need to live here after all
From numerous posts in this forum, it quite obvious why they cannot.

No family resorts open up brothels all over the town fronting as bars and sometimes hire sexpats for pimping (aka bar managers). Before they round them up, they should round up all the pimps and close the brothels.

My pension is Australian. Was around 33 it is now 21.5. You make too many assumptions and they have nothing to do with the question I asked.
I think you should brace for 14 AUD within a few years. You have to accept that Thailand has potential to accumulate huge amounts of foreign currency and Australian currency will be hit hard when Chinese economy comes to a grinding. No one can predict the future but discarding current trends for future prediction is not very prudent. All my retirement plan is based on 25BHT/USD.

I have concluded that the 800k bank method is the only way to go.
And having at least two million BHT in a Thai bank bank (Preferably another two million in the home country bank) before new retirees plan to retire in Thailand. Simply relying on pension for retirement in Thailand is not a prudent move now as Baht keeps strengthening as Thailand's economy improves and dollar keeps weakening due to US administration policies.

remaining days of your visa can be used
I think you meant remaining days of your "Permitted to stay" date on the stamp affixed on your passport page. If visa has remaining days, you don't need a re-entry permit if you enter on or before "Valid Until" date on the visa sticker.

If a guy wants to live in a 3000 baht a month room with no air-con and only eats mama noodles from 7-11 then this is the appropriate way for him to live if he can support himself....If some ones not begging in the street then that should be good enough for Thailand...
But he could be begging at any moment. If not begging, he won't hesitate to take works without a work permit. Many more pimping jobs (aka bar managers) are available through out Thailand. At one time in the past, vast numbers of pimps (aka bar managers) were working without permits. They were content with free booze and girls. I recently read one guy in Krabi said he would do it again even after being caught. Don't underestimate the lure of brothels (aka bars).

I have to present lease agreement, owner's I'D and Tambien Baan for our house when submitting TM30.
I don't think a Tabian ban is required if you have a rental contact. Not all people have Tabian ban

If the baht continues to strengthen I may also have trouble qualifying for my visa
Baht will continue to strengthen. It has been slowed down recently due to intervention. But central bank won't be able to keep it checked. Also, in the US there is concerted efforts to weaken the dollar. Rate is being cut. Need to plan for strong baht around 25BHT/USD within a few years.

It won't count towards a Retirement extension.
Why it won't count towards retirement extension? Money is money no matter where it comes from.

When I go to Thailand in Okcober I have a NON-O visa for 90 Days and will do the TM30 on Monday as first thing.
There is no need for TM30. Where did you get Non-O? Is it for marriage? Opening a bank account is becoming tricky. Do exactly what the bank says. If you don't intend to stay in Thailand, you may also get by without opening a bank account.

Is it possible to do this at the same visit and get it the same day? If not how long can this be?
Nothing gets done on the same day in Bangkok.

I'm not sure I see where you have any unique IP. Everything you stated is a third party product (tools). What did you develop that you consider to be unique IP? There are many different models for estimating the value of IP.
What was the unique IP when facebook started (pre IPO)? It is all third party product, PHP, MySQL, MemCache, Casandra, etc. Yes now they thousands of patents. It is not the tools but how you put the tools and their integration to provide a solution that creates unique IP. People have already offered 50K USD for the software and they can run in any server they want. The value of the IP is usually considered to be equal to the amount that a purchaser would pay for that asset at a market price. I am 100% sure I can get 300K USD business loan from BlueVine or companies like that for investing on my business for revenue enhancements. I already have 50K USD approved line of credit for my business from Citi bank and 50K from CapitalOne

Who would you bang in a rural French town?
It all comes down brothels (aka bars) and pimps (bar managers) pimping young poor girls for marriage to creepy older sexpats. That's the only reason for sexpats to come to Thailand and marry and live in Issan. Where else one can do it?

I just did a 90day report on the date orginally given me 90 days ago BUT I had been out of Thailand between 4th and 12th July...as evidenced by the TM6 card which accompanied my passport and TM47 paper. Did NOT do a TM30 on my return (own house) on 12th....or anytime since(Or before )
IO didn't say a word just printed me off a new 90day report date.
No questions from her.
I don't ask questions and they don't ask.
I don't want to start the TM30 thing and upset the current smooth running.
Think that they are just one of the officers who simply ignore this "requirement".
Utterly useless info without mentioning the immigration office. People keep saying that it depends on the office and people keep posting useless info that has no relevancy.

Self-appointed judge and jury. I have seen lots of self-appointed US constitution experts who won't get a para-legal job with their opinions.

I think if you went on Shark Tank, you'd find it very hard to justify your valuation considering your monthly profit and nature of your business. Not sure about Thailand though.
I know "worth of Web" is inflated. but on flipper once I listed the main site that generates 80% of my profit and someone was ready to buy for 50K USD (two years worth of profits). Profits may be enhanced by targeted ad campaigns. I am just lazy and and no motivation as I have other incomes from investments that is sufficient for me now. Also, getting close to 60 and just want to enjoy what I have now. In Thailand how do they evaluate worth of IP (intellectual property) for company capitalization?
