The article in the OP, more precisely Mike Pezzullo (AO - Rescinded) juxtapositions a rise in antisemitic attacks in Australia with the arrival of Palestinian refugees without providing any evidence that the refugees he is referring to have played any part in any of the antisemitic attacks. Pure fear mongering and directing that fear at people fleeing a war zone. The kind of slur against a minority race/immigrants of which history provides many stinking examples. It plays well to those receptive of negative portrayals of those who Pezullo disgracefully targets.

So no evidence that the refugees from Gaza have anything to do with the rise in Antisemitic attacks.

I can’t speak for the whole of ‘the left’ but I personally do not support attacks on any group of people on the basis of actions those victims had no part in. It’s a point of view I’ve expressed many times and consistently held.
