  1. Take a poll of the population of Gaza. Multiply the percentage support it indicates for Hamas by the population of Gaza and then factor in that the poll almost certainly does not sample the young people who so readily sign up for wars. Of course Hamas are recruiting, the polls tell us there’s a large pool of supporters to recruit from. And yes, atrocities committed on one’s own population is a driver for recruitment on both sides of any war.
  2. I don’t know the basis of the statements you have made or the assumptions you make about what individuals would have done before the war. Polls? Unless the polls state there is 100% opposition to Hamas then I have absolutely no idea how a poll could be proof that Hamas are not recruiting. And really, is anyone going to answer a poll by stating they themselves have just joined Hamas? If the pols show any support at all for Hamas then that is an indication that there are people who very well might be recruited. If you have problems with the Jerusalem Post Article I liked, please take that up with the editor. “The Post was told on Wednesday night that the 40,000 number was more accurate. This could suggest that a majority of the Hamas fighters are still from their original force, and they have undoubtedly added thousands of new recruits.”
  3. It’s nevertheless a report from the Jerusalem Post of Hamas recruiting. Hamas need only add one recruit to be recruiting, the report suggests very many more than one recruit.
  4. I have no wish to argue the definitions of these groups but if Hamas are pulling in members of other groups then they are clearly recruiting. From Jerusalem Post article I linked to: “The Post was told on Wednesday night that the 40,000 number was more accurate. This could suggest that a majority of the Hamas fighters are still from their original force, and they have undoubtedly added thousands of new recruits.”

  6. I have no idea. Who said all new recruits would be Palestinians?
  7. And the means by which that has been achieved is driving recruitment.
  8. Yes I understand Putin’s callous disregard for the lives of Russian soldiers. Now back to my question, you state is time to get behind the Commander in Chief when he dies the right thing. Clearly not something relating to elections. So what about when the Commander in Chief does the wrong thing? I’ve already stated my opinion on what Trump will do.
  9. You’ll need to get over the fact that refugees are indeed welcome. Not even the last Government chose to change that.
  10. Given the investigation ran for two years what part did Cooper play in these crimes. Good to see Starmer’s Government taking action though, don’t you agree.
  11. I’ll make a prediction. Musk, sorry Trump, Will do whatever best suits Putin.
  12. Begging for troops from North Korea is a bit of a tell.
  13. If the war happens to end while Trump is President, he’ll count back 24hrs and then claim that’s when he intervened to stop it.
  14. Judges can order imprisonment for contempt of court.
  15. Let’s see who pays the tariffs he has stated he is going to implement. And while distracted by that what happens to the Social Security millions of Americans rely on in their old age.
  16. Clearly Putin doesn’t understand the idea of sovereignty. Nor, it seems does Trump as he offers up British and European troops for this plan of his.
  17. That true, a spurs supporter myself I recall the chants from the stands. Being a Spurs supporter is in many ways a journey of faith, you just have to believe someday it will come good.
  18. If you contact the forum admin they might open a thread on the subject. In the meantime if you make claims it’s for you to back them up.
  19. And yet here you are discussing a commitment within the manifesto that has been demonstrated to be a truth. Did you think that through?
  20. If you can provide me with any credible link to a socialist political philosophy document that promotes ‘Dumbing down to the lowest common denominator’ I might believe you. Otherwise we are left with you objecting to others paying VAT when they buy an advantage over you and your children.
  21. Hardly pointless, it’s what they won an election on. Further more, you are participating in’s discussion on one the commitments within the manifesto. Did you think that through?
  22. What I find amusing is, unless you and your children attended/attend private schools, then you are defending a system the gives those that have/do an advantage over you and your children. The majority of the general public understand this, hence the majority of public support for Labour’s policy on the matter. Refer link I provided above and Labour’s manifesto.
  23. Begs the question, why these council deficits exist.
