  1. I see the Space Karen has turned on Farage. Farage for once being right on the matter, Yaxley-Lennon is where he belongs.
  2. I’m frequently in the UK, spent much of the past four years there, it’s always a pleasure to visit. I like the place. I don’t recall ever going to Islington.
  3. I’ve already given the best one. There has already been an inquiry, I provided a link, refer earlier post. The Inquiries Act gives responsibility for setting the terms of reference for inquiries to the Prime Minister. Which begs a question. Has your departure from reality into the realms of conspiracy reached the point where a Tory PM would authorize an inquiry and set the terms of reference such as to hide any culpability on behalf of members of the Labour Party?
  4. Don’t tell me I don’t want to read an article when I just asked for a link.
  5. Oh the winter fuel payments still exist, it’s just that they are now tied to means tested benefits so pensioners below the means tested threshold still get the payments, those on higher incomes, like the millions in receipt of work place pensions don’t get a winter fuel payment because they don’t need it.
  6. Precisely, increasing production of N.Sea oil and gas does not reduce the price of energy to UK consumers. The price consumers pay is dictated by the global oil and gas market prices. It would however increase the profits of the oil and gas companies operating in the N.Sea.
  7. Do you have link that’s not behind a paywall? So we all read precisely what Starmer said in its full context.
  8. Net Zero was also a policy of the last Tory Government although they did cave to the fossil fuel industry, particularly on the matter of ‘windfall taxes’, choosing instead to subsidize fossil fuel profits with tax payer handouts.
  9. Do you have a link to this majority you refer to? Something that demonstrates ‘a majority’ will do. We can then examine what’s actually going on
  10. He headed the CPS during the first prosecutions of these gangs.
  11. You’ve not been back for a while then. ’Net zero’ is creating local well paid jobs across the country.
  12. Yaxley-Lennon will be released from prison once he’s served his sentence. It’s then a fair bet that before too long his recidivism will get the better of him and he’ll wind up behind bars again.
  13. It’s not a deflection, it’s reminding you what the topic of discussion actually is. I even quoted the title of the thread.
  14. The basis of the fraud conviction was fraudulent statements. Next time you take out a loan read the text in the warning right above where your signature goes.
  15. Actually the issue is: “Elon Musk Advocates for Tommy Robinson’s Release Amid Criticism of UK Leadership” You’ll find it mentioned at the top of the thread.
  16. Kier Starmer should go for Badenoch’s jugular over this. Present her and parliament with the recommendations of the inquiry commissioned by the government in which she was a minister and demand she explain why no action was taken.
  17. Badenoch was Minister for Women and Equalities at the time the Parliamentary Inquiry into the Grooming Gangs was published and remain in that ministerial office for almost the full two years afterwards. The Tory Government’s response to the report was to ignore its findings. Badenoch is one of the Government Ministers doing the ignoring.
  18. There’s already been an inquiry, here’s a link to it. Take note of the date and then see if you can recall who was in Government at the time: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/iicsa-report-of-the-independent-inquiry-into-child-sexual-abuse
  19. Trump isn’t getting anyone into Gaza.
  20. I’m not as sure of the future as you appear to be, certainly when it comes to anything based upon statements from Trump. There’s the dual problem of, is he going to deliver on anything he promises and, in the off chance he does, will the outcome be what is expected? In the meantime it seems you have nothing other than hypothesis and predictions of the future to refute the Jerusalem Post article I linked.
  21. They might. Welcome to the acceptance that Israel has motivation to engage in misinformation. Which does not in any sense confirm that your suggestion they are doing on this particular occasion is correct.
  22. I did. Nothing in your response addressed that point.
  23. It’s a topic that was discussed frequently on this forum after the decimation of community policing. It even made it to the pages of the Daily Mail: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10933747/amp/Police-failed-solve-burglaries-nearly-half-countrys-neighbourhoods-data-reveals.html
  24. When your ‘argument’ is based on a lie it’s not an argument.
