  1. One of straws grasped by Trump supporters was the idea the the Georgia courts would not be able to handle so many defendants and their trials. Their hope being that Trump would not be put on trial until after the 2024 election. Well now these two defendants have cut a deal and they won’t be going to trial. The schedule just got freed up.
  2. Keep in mind, Jordan was Trump’s pick. The message is clear, Trump’s hold over the GOP is slipping.
  3. The resounding defeat in this week’s two by elections is the cause of the risk he now faces.
  4. Well Chesebro has just taken a cooperation deal, so there will be no trial for these two. DG Willis is firing on all cylinders, she now has two cooperating witnesses who were right at the heart of the crime scheme. They will get to give their testimony in later trials and Trump doesn’t get a preview of the prosecution strategy. Feel free to ‘caution’ that into some variation of ‘Trump will get away with it all’.
  5. HMRC will tax you on the basis of an assumed income, they’ll issue you a new tax code. You can call then or write them to get this corrected. Up to you whether or not you tell them you are in Thailand, those wishing to receive their annual cost of living increases usually don’t share that piece of information.
  6. You don’t get to claim charges are bogus and then get a free pass when you can’t produce evidence to back up your assertion. And no, you don’t get to put the responsibility to check on those who challenge your baseless claims. You made the assertion, either back it up with evidence or withdraw it.
  7. Conspiracy theories are not evidence. You stated the charges against Powell are bogus. Where is your evidence that they are bogus? Or are you making unsubstantiated claims?
  8. Powell’s a lawyer, she knows a good plea deal when she sees it. I look forward to you proving evidence that the indictments against her handed down by a Grand Jury are bogus.

  10. Is anyone at all surprised? https://amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/oct/11/labour-billions-covid-fraud-pandemic
  11. That’s certainly a reason not to like Trump, he reneges on deals, stiffs contractors, doesn’t even pay his lawyers. He could have written a book on ‘The Art Of Breaking A Deal’.
  12. And have zero opportunity to challenge any of it as it is presented live on camera to the nation. That’s a loss to Trump who wishes to play this out in the court of public opinion.
  13. Sorry, it was the unaffiliated attorney whose opinion you introduced. Your opinion on the point I made would nice to hear.
  14. It was Trump’s lawyers who drew up the NDAs, they obviously didn’t draft the document to avoid infringing the rights and freedoms of the employees. Or maybe that was the whole point. NDAs are frequently used to suppress individual’s rights, the court agreed this to be the case. Thankfully the abusive application of NDA’s is being addressed elsewhere too. Ordinary working people being given their rights back, it’s something to celebrate. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/crack-down-on-misuse-of-non-disclosure-agreements-in-the-workplace
  15. Yeh yeh. Maybe she needed a job. Maybe she had bills to pay. Maybe she had poor advice, or non at all. It doesn’t matter, the court tossed the NDA for her and over 400 of he coworkers.
