  1. I suspect book deals are their real goal.
  2. I suspect, like you, they like expressing their opinions. The only real difference is your reach might be to a couple of dozen people, their’s to a somewhat wider audience.
  3. What? He’s the leader of a major NATO nation and significant contributor to supporting Ukraine. Keeping the people of France on board with support for Ukraine and publicly declaring his administration’s support for Ukraine is the right thing to do. Putin’s shills might disagree.

  5. While not yet confirmed as Nicola Bulley, a body has been recovered from the river where Nicola Bulley went missing. Perhaps the police will have some time now to prosecute the goulish ‘influencers’ and ‘youtubers’ who have descended on the area causing so much distress to Nicola’s family and in the local community: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/feb/19/nicola-bulley-police-say-body-found-in-search
  6. The media are playing for rating. Pay attention to court filings and statements from the DoJ. If you want to know how well the cases are going, pay attention to the ridiculous arguments put forward by Trump’s lawyers (who have a habit of being indicted themselves).
  7. What we are witnessing is the outcome of months of work to fight court challenges brought by witnesses who do not wish to obey subpoenas, or perhaps wish to be seen as compelled to respond. Jack Smith wasn’t brought back from The Hague to tinker around the edges, he’s been tasked with concluding the Federal investigations, place evidence and witnesses before the Grand Jury and prosecute crimes committed. He hit the ground running. Jack be nimble, Jack be quick.
  8. The internal Tory Party fighting is set to resume. The nation pays the price: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/feb/19/rishi-sunak-warned-more-than-100-tory-mps-could-rebel-over-ni-protocol-deal
  9. Far right, gets beat by extreme right.
  10. Because merely defending yourself against civil suit can and often does bankrupt people. You need to beef up your NB, it isn’t convincing anyone.
  11. They don’t have a baby, their is no baby.
  12. An opinion piece, with this little gem: “He backs up his argument here with an anonymous quote”
  13. A taste of what’s to come: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/feb/18/boris-johnson-threatens-rishi-sunaks-bid-to-end-deadlock-over-brexit
  14. Nonsense. Others have already listed the VP’s qualifications, one of which must be ‘get the vote out’, that obviously worked. Your unqualified imaginations of the current situation are just that. “Biden healthy, vigorous and fit for job, says doctor”
  15. Well of all the atrocities surrounding Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, this is what you get offended over.
  16. Ah a conspiracy pops out of you.
  17. Doctors have examining and say he’s “healthy, vigorous and fit for job”.
  18. My first trip to Copenhagen was delayed for two days while sat off shore in an awful squall waiting for it to die down so we could make port. Not my happiest traveling memory.
  19. Well the NRA have already suggested arming teachers. ’Teacher guns down armed six year old’ would get a few headlines, until it becomes commonplace.
  20. The choice isn’t a simplistic aid for Ukrainian v pay for nurses.
  21. I look forward to seeing the details of the deal, if there is one, and the reaction of the extremists in the Conservative Party. Sunak has some interesting days ahead of him.
  22. Don’t worry, there’s a procedure for ruddying Presidents to the Walter Reed in the middle of the night to administer the ‘Montreal Test’ We are yet to be told what would trigger such a procedure, but we do know it exits.
