The first issue is to clarify that anyone has actually been given an order to return and not just a reminder to keep funds document.
A friend did an extension in Jomtien a week ago and was given a reminder document "not" an order to return in 90 days.
It appears that people may be confusing the reminder as an order to return.
told me to come back and show updated passbook in 3 months. no confusion

Does anyone have a snapshot/copy of one of the orders ? Would be interesting to see the wording etc.
Doesn't mention what will happen, at a guess, they will cancel the visa, or they won't give you next years

There are a lot of people living on retirement extensions who do not have glue about requirements to get retirement extension by real rules because they have used agents to get their stamps.
Now it is time to learn ????
They will carry on using agents.

No, as it was precisely to say that it was exactly the same procedure as now in 2019...
I was asking what is "newish" in the procedure, as seems to me that nothing changed ??
the change is you need a copy of the green book and a sales contract to get the res' cert ' from immo'

Yes ,you need res' cert' to buy new or to transfer secondhand.
I normally get them through an agent pattaya 1000bt. this time [2 months ago ] she wanted sales contract and green book. obviously you won't have a green book for a new bike.
Also said she can't get res' cert' for bank A/C anymore.

Told me just bank book.

"When I took the paper I only had a quick look on it and did not realize the June 04-thing. I thought it's just information about the new requirements"
That was my answer to the same question as yours.
Why it would be impossible that people here could have the answer? They might have had a closer look at the paper and then have asked an IO or supervisor.
I surely will leave before the 90-day-report is to be made. But I don't want to risk coming back, wait for the next 90-day-report and be told then, my extension is revoked cause I did not show up on June 04.
So I'll try to call Jomtien immi tomorrow and if that does not work I will visit them next week, hoping the place will not be extremely packed like this and last week.
If I can get suitable information I'll provide it here for sure.
3 mth bankbook check, not 90 day report. separate not linked.
I asked on fri when i collected my passport. ''what happens in you're not in the country on pass book check date'',
she said ''do when you come back.''

I wonder whether agents go through the back door like they do in many other cases in the past.....

They would not cancel your current extension. They would refuse to accept you application which would allow you to stay until your extension ends.
If you wanted the extra 7 days you would have to apply for the extension, pay 1900 baht and be granted 7 days to leave the country after it is denied.
Jomtien checks bankbook after 90 days, will the visa be cancelled if below 800 /400 ?

I get the impression they are being told to come irrespective of their 90 day reporting a Jomtiem.

from Kasikorn web site (might nto apply to other banks):
Q.. Can a fixed deposit passbook be updated at an automatic passbook update machine?A, Customers can update transactions in their fixed deposit passbooks at automatic passbook update machines at every branch.
which of course is free. I'll have to try it.
That's what i wrongly assumed, she put the book in the machine and it updated to the last transaction in dec. [interest]. not the 4th of mar
Got there in the end,
another transfer /update june 4th. and every 3 months after that maybe.

Strange this new requirement of come back after 90 days to prove you still have 800k in your bank. When do you have to come back and prove you haven't gone below 400k? every month perhaps?
Is it possible this hasn't been thought through properly?
1. probably after 90 days.
2. possibly. TIT

Are you allowed to make a transaction with a FD? I though they usually do nto allow subsequent deposit?
It was an SCB FCD A/C i used for the visa.
I transferred one pound into my FD A/C. got 41 baht.

This extra report after 90 days is pure speculation at the moment. Merijn has stated that it might be a random selection and he knows better than most. Let's wait for someone actually to renew an extension and report back on here to find out the reality.
not at jomtien it's not

19,000 Baht for something that costs 1,900 Baht.
Makes perfect sense.
Don't cost 1900 if you can't supply the funds...
