  1. I would not be surprised if he has a few outstanding bench warrants back home as well. Probably thought laying low in Srisaket no one would bother with him.
  2. Need more time to hire full-time doctors
  3. Came about in the 70s. Thais love to drink at work (almost anytime). The law was put in place to make it harder to get drunk in the afternoon.
  4. On the other hand, there will soon be a lot more second hand air conditioning units for sale on the secondary market 🤠
  5. It's astounding how easy it is to get into Thailand when wanted by authorities in another country. Like there is absolutely no filter at the boarder, and they only get apprehended after they are allowed in (and only when at the request of the other country's police).
  6. Sure, this kind of cultural-linguistic improvisation happens a lot in expat circles 🤮 Get out of your expat bubble and learn what real Thais call things... Or just continue to live your life in Farangistan 🤡
  7. And some news reports state that the Lard Yao women's prison carries the nickname Bangkok Hilton...

  10. It's not an actual place... Bangkok Hilton - Wikipedia https://share.google/EHDargZL0587Zskv1
  11. The Straits Times reported that all shops will now be required to have a doctor on premise at all times. Seems like a lot of overhead unless of course all they are their to do is write prescriptions for anyone look to buy bud. One thing is likely, this whole reversal is going to create as mush chaos as the original decriminalization
  12. What's more alarming is how easy it is for a known criminal to make their way into Thailand undetected in the first place. The land of smugglers and thieves, forever more.
  13. Shocked, not shocked. The entire decriminalization process (implementation) from the beginning was poorly thought through. It was like a wild west gold rush, and it was too sudden, extreme and unmanaged to make it sustainable or palatable to the saints and pearl clutchers. Unfortunately, there is now a lot of capital (dispensary owners and cultivators) at risk from those who moved fast in the beginning. My guess is if they do go through with this planned reversal, that it too will be poorly managed, leading to more chaos (uneven enforcement, payoffs and bribes too look away, etc.). Not to mention all the inevitable whinnying yet to come from those decrying the loss of weed tourist/tourism dollars. Personal, I'm disappointed. But it will no affect on anyone who knew how to get weed before decriminalization. I also think the advent of medical marijuana cards will be the way forward as a way to skirt this reverseal. We'll see.
  14. The women is a liar and the man is a known problem (this is not his first time acting a violent fool)... Yes, I don't know them, and my comment is pure conjecture, but I'm confident I'm not wrong.
  15. I don't know what international standards they refer to here... But I've never (ever) had to take a test for a DL renewal (just the initial application for endorsement). I guess I'll see what comes of this when I renew in 2029. But if it's a English tested written by a Thai is likely going to be a really horrible test.
  16. Civilians dieing everyday in multiple conflicts around the globe, and all Thailand does is come out with "so sad for us, our tourist dollars are fewer"... Pitiful.
  17. Once saw 2 completing bargirls in the same establishment (in Bangkok) throw down over a client... One girl slammed the head of the other into a metal locker. Blood everywhere (as head wounds go). The accusation was the "victim" stole the other girls client... When in fact I simply liked the other girl more 😜
  18. PM can have all the meetings she likes... but it's the corrupt local officials responsible for compliance and enforcement that make this the problem it is today.
  19. Because heaven forbid the 1000s of officers currently on the payroll actually get off their arses and do work.
  20. And then if you do get one, you can't open a bank account. The shine is coming off this visa.
  21. If you are using lithium-ion rechargeable batteries you need a lithium-ion specific fire extinguisher on hand, like those you find in EV garages. To not have one is negligent.
  22. Only in Thailand are they activities call "grey businesses" 😂
  23. Nothing about getting or renewing retirement visa/extensions in Thailand has changed. What a stupid rant/article.
