  1. Blah, blah blah... Had 26 million at the end of Oct (that's a run rate of 2.6 million a month), and how they want to hit their 36 million goal (and bring in 5 million a month for the rest of the year).... They will report whatever they want to make themselves look good. 🥱
  2. Just another day in Pattaya. Hardly worthy of a news report.
  3. If real and actual compelling evidence does not exist, you must acquit.
  4. Why not. You use the tools you have. Once saw someone delivering a full size refrigerator once (in Vietnam). I've seen far more dangerous loads on pickups and 22 wheelers on Thai highways traveling at speed
  5. True that. And if they are looking at it as easy dough, there not doing it unwittingly.
  6. If earned while you where a tax resident. Stop the panic. If you don't owe, don't worry. 2024 is no different than every other year prior.
  7. Unwitting? Unintelligent more likely. How stupid do you to be to be an unwitting participate to mule kilos of ganja back to the UK in your luggage.
  8. Leave the drug trafficking to the locals. These guys are smalltime, why take the risk. Not worth it. Dumb.
  9. I was speaking to the women themselves. Their not all that different. Not speaking on the countries legal systems, or the people's religious baggage. That said, divorce in Thailand was a breeze. Don't know about PI.
  10. 6 of one, half dozen of another. Same same but different.
  11. That's a good policy to live by.
  12. Arrest mean nothing. It's the conviction (the consequences) that people avoid. Unless you are poor, or have a drug problem, you have no fear of the law.
  13. No one is afraid of the police or the consequences of breaking laws. If it's not 2 NZs wrestling away a cops gun, it's a Thai slapping a cop. Add to that the prevailing thinking that any trouble with the law can be evaded if you pay the right people. Thailand has only themselves to blame.
  14. The hub of crackdowns. Always lots of bluster, but few lasting results. It's difficult to crackdown on criminals when those responsible for doing the cracking down are also criminals.
  15. Another case of when it's better to be a lucky driver than a good one 😂
  16. All part of the master plan to grow the tax base then spring worldwide income tax rules on the base. Tick tock, tick tock...
  17. Same for any kid anywhere whos dads a cop. The problem with Thai cops is any kid can be the son on a cop for a price.
  18. Stateless is someone who is not recognized as a citizen by any country. Expats don't fit the definition.
  19. Proving once again that law enforcement in Thailand can never be trusted.
  20. Never trust the police to do anything when it comes to anyone (foreigner or Thai) with influence $$$. TiT.
  21. About time more Thais stand up to the corrupt courts and police who let people off who have money.
  22. How about just paying your own way and stop looking for a handout.
  23. Getting a visa shouldn't be easy as pie. It should require effort and diligence. It's only a problem if valid applications get denied. And just because you are denied doesn't mean your request was valid to begin with.
