Life without a credit card in Thailand
EVENKEEL replied to poppysdad's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I use my laptop to do all my banking in the US. I pay property taxes, pool services. I use my US credit cards to pay property insurance or any bills that come up in the US while I live in Thailand and Lazada. But I'm really against using my phone with bank apps anywhere. I see no need to have my banking info on my phone. I have cash in pocket for everything here in Thailand. During my trips to the US I find myself using my credit card for many purchases. Try renting a car in the US without a credit card, it's impossible. -
Life without a credit card in Thailand

Back in the day I never had a credit card, I paid cash for everything, and I mean everything well except for checks. And my credit was so bad I couldn't even get a cel phone plan going or buy a big screen TV on credit. Wasn't till I worked my way up from a prepaid credit card and had house payments that I was trusted with a credit card. -
And, I wouldn't buy anything hybrid or electric. Diesel for me.

The Haval looks nice, I wouldn't buy it though just to save money.

Question about “Pothole” Coffee shop
EVENKEEL replied to Nickelbeer's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I haven't changed my smoking habits. At the beach I pick a beach area away from crowds, some hits, couple cold beers. Been doing this for years. I won't be poking the bear to see what I can get away with. -
The Stock Market certainly is an indicator of where the economy is and where it's headed.

You have extremely bad manners. -
For me melatonin was good for letting me fall back asleep after a 0200 pee.

When will you return from fantasyland? My guess is after the mid terms this will all just slowly and quietly go away. -
Living in Thailand vs living in America?

I enjoy a trip back to the US every year. I look forward to it. I went back in 2021 and the one striking difference was the amount of homeless people setting up camp in places where previously there were none. Filling up my 5.7 hemi made me sad. All this fear of guns and white nationalistic nonsense is just that nonsense. I have plans to spend more time in the states and do some long road trips and sight seeing. -

Keep the people focused on Trump is a good strategy by the dems. Keeps the spotlight off our president as he bungles along. Good business for the media as well. -

Middle of the road is how I pictured biden as did many. But now the dems are lost. People vote with their pocket book.
