WISE....Beware !
Lacessit replied to kalasiner's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
How much money do you think you lost in interest on the money you transferred, over two or three days? -
I only ever worked in private industry. One month of employment in the Melbourne GPO as a vacation student was enough to convince me advancement was on the basis of longevity, not merit.

WISE....Beware !
Lacessit replied to kalasiner's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Agree, but maybe there's a glitch in the system when there are no staff around to fix it. Personally, I have never had a problem with WISE. There have been occasions when the transfer is not in a few minutes, IIRC one took 24 hours during weekdays. -

I don't know if the OP is aware of this, but Thai banks are not open on weekends.- 131 replies

Musk calls Canada's Trudeau "insufferable tool"
Lacessit replied to Woke to Sounds of Horking's topic in Political Soapbox
You are expecting reality in what Trump posts? He's probably got it confused with the Rockies. -
One observation I have made about ASEAN is the number of snipers who live to put down other posters. It must be disappointing when I fail to respond to their baiting. Another SOS to join my ignore list. Bye bye.

IMO Trump needs to be careful. He may be POTUS, but Musk can afford far more lawyers. -
I guess it was only a matter of time before ASEAN's ex-FBI profilers got on this thread.

Australian Aged Pension
Lacessit replied to VOICEOVER's topic in Australia & Oceania Topics and Events
I have a friend in Chiang Mai, on a full OAP. He gets $1076.00 per fortnight. Good luck to you if you get more. However, I fail to see why there should be be two different pensions for the same situation. -
I inherited a guy like that once, at work. He did not appear either Monday or Friday regularly. I called him into my office, and showed him his attendance record for the last year. I said any sick leave you take, which does not have a medical certificate attached, will result in your pay being docked for that day. He said you can't do that, I said try me. Quite magical how his health improved, until he transferred to another department about 6 months later.

Given some of the blatantly wrong answers I get from AI, it will be a while yet.

It's intellectually lazy to claim the Left is solely responsible for the online hate of the CEO. Luigi Mangione is an Ivy League educated engineer from a privileged background. Not your average leftist at all. I suppose the murder is a good look-over-there for the OP. AFAIK no leftists have staged an insurrection.

Today, I paid my green fees at a golf course. The cost was 350 baht for 9 holes. I gave the manager a 1000 baht note, and a 50 baht note. He looked confused, and tried to give me the 50 baht note back He was using a calculator. He has said before he has a university degree. It's not the first time I have encountered this. Some staff in 7/11 get it, some do not. Is it the education system?

I have brought in six month's worth of medications many times over the space of 12 years. I've never been stopped or questioned concerning them. I do carry a letter from my Australian GP which explains their purpose. While there may be regulations, there does not seem to be any enforcement. A bit like the road rules.

Here is a place for Americans to Apologize to Canadians
Lacessit replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
In case you missed it, a majority of Americans have descended into a pit of moral turpitude, where screw you Jack, I've got mine rules the day. The Christians who backed the felon are worst of all. Biden trashed the economy? News to the stock market and employment statistics. As the ancient Greeks never tired of pointing out, hubris is always followed by nemesis. You'll get yours soon enough. -

Lacessit replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
Utter rubbish. Most non-Americans despise Trump, and what he is turning America into. He gets zero respect from me as a felon, fraudster, serial liar, and sexual predator. We will soon see who has got who by the balls, if he gets to actually bring in the tariffs he is threatening. Just ask American farmers how that worked the last time.- 87 replies
