If one measures the number of medals Australia won per million population, it's ahead of any other nation. I beg to differ in terms of superiority, because some nations have different attributes. I don't think so. Someone from Queensland can understand a West Australian. The broad ocker accent is more a socio-economic attribute, not regional. My accent is less ocker, due to schooling and travel.

My ancestry is Scandinavian, French and a dash of Scots. IIRC both the Vikings and the French gave you a good hiding back in the day. Aussies continue their traditions.

It depends on what criteria are used. Koreans IMO are well-mannered people, and have a good reputation with Thais. OTOH, on a golf course they make snails look like racehorses.

FRCS stands for Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, FRACS stands for Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. FRCS is the first qualification a surgeon gets, followed by FRACS. IMO you are missing the point. If you had nobody but legal migrant workers picking crops in America, cost of food in supermarkets would skyrocket. I used to go through Phrao when the roadworks on the 118 at Doi Saket became too rough on the car. There was an Akha village further up the road where I would buy a weeks' worth of vegetables for 150 baht. I'd agree Fang is a good base for Thaton, Mae Ai, and Doi Angkhan. I did the loop Chiang Rai - Fang -Mae Chan many years ago on a scooter. and remember a good hotel behind the Tesco Lotus in Fang. Have not heard of Doi Lang before, I'll have to check it out.
