  1. My blood pressure is 105/60. Pulse 55. Thanks for giving me the date the felon showers his useful idiots with garbage. I'll make a note to turn off all media, and play golf. Isn't that what Trump did in his first term?
  2. Vaccines reduced the incidence of contraction, and the severity of symptoms enabling transmission. I thought that was widely accepted.
  3. They all fancy themselves as social scientists?
  4. Mandated for people working in close contact with the public. Please explain why such people should be permitted to jeopardize the health of others because of their personal choices.
  5. Anything is poisonous if ingested in sufficient quantity. It's quite humorous a person who iimbibes a Class 1 carcinogen on a daily basis should be so worried about whether he swallows toothpaste, or spits it out. You are wrong about polio. It is still endemic in Pakistan and Afghanistan. I know a WHO doctor who has worked there. The main problem is vaccine hesitancy, fueled by mullahs still living in the Middle Ages. You are a statistical sample of one. There's a population of 7 million people who would disagree with your description of COVID being just a cold, if they were still around to do so. The data says unvaccinated COVID patients were 6-7 times more like to need ICU treatment. IMO you were one of the lucky ones.
  6. I believe public health measures are for the public good. Tell me, if you want freedom of choice, are you willing to fund the cost of repair of your teeth? Or if you are an anti-vaxxer, refusing polio and COVID shots, will you pay for an iron lung or ICU out of your own pocket? Or will you want to use the public health system? Fluoridated toothpaste is a topical application. Ingestion of fluoride is necessary to strengthen teeth inside and out.
  7. I don't disagree too much fluoride is toxic. After all, drinking too much water results in hyponatremia. As Paracelsus said, the dose makes the poison. 0.5 ppm of fluoride in drinking water is perfectly safe. However, the anti-fluoriders seize on the kind of data you are posting to say all fluoride is bad. Some of them may even be smoking like chimneys, and drinking like fish, when they make the claim.
  8. OK, here is the personal evidence: Both myself and my ex-wife are pre-fluoridation. We have both made dentists rich with fillings, caps, crowns, bridges and implants. Our son is now 51. We fed him fluoride drops from the time he went to solid food, because we were on tank water, not mains supply. He is a bigger sweet tooth than I am, and has had two cavities in his 51 years. Genetically, all the cards were marked against him. Anti-fluoride activists are like climate deniers, Determined to be ignoramuses, in the face of overwhelming evidence.
  9. Don't give up your day job. You suck as a comedian.
  10. I thought those facts I posted would mean nothing to you. Do you eat fruit? Mouth bacteria feast just as happily on fructose as they do on sucrose. Ignorance can be corrected with education. Wilful ignorance cannot. A waste of my time talking to you. Bye now.
  11. Sodium fluoride , 99.9% pure, is dosed into water supply. Talk of it as a waste product is arrant nonsense. In 1966, the Governor of Hawaii ended fluoridation of the water supply. In 2024, Hawaii is the worst state in the USA in terms of dental cavities. Hawaii has the highest rate of tooth decay in the United States for third graders, with 71% affected. In addition, 22% of third graders in Hawaii have untreated tooth decay, and 7% need urgent dental care Give me a break indeed. From people who are blind to facts staring them in the face.
  12. I thought Trump was first in that queue. Biden gave back the classified documents voluntarily. They had to be pried out of Trump with a FBI raid. But then, in your cockeyed reasoning, such details don't matter.
  13. I have a bowl in which I put copper satangs. Let me know his address, I'll donate them.
  14. You are confusing felonies. Judge Merchan is sentencing Trump for falsifying business records, in a case brought by NY DA Alvin Bragg. Nothing to do with Jack Smith. Why would I bother to watch someone bloviating about crowd sizes, and how wonderful he is? That's for worshippers too dumb to realize they are being thrown under a bus.
  15. Then why are you here on this thread? Did you get lost?
  16. I see quite a few OP's that are crowing over Trump's win, or pouring scorn on "lefties". Do you read threads on ASEAN with your right eye shut?
  17. You are doing a splendid job.
  18. Let's say Trump deports the 16 million? illegal migrants in America. Hotels, resorts and restaurants will no longer have cheap labor to maintain their operations. The increased cost of labor will be passed on to customers. Similarly, farmers won't have cheap, abundant labor to plant and pick their fruit and vegetables. The price tag at the supermarkets for food will balloon. You should have been careful what you wished for.
  19. That's why it is called democracy. Winning an election is not a measure of voter intelligence. It's a measure of how easily voters were swayed. Check back with me in a couple of years. My prediction is the average American will be worse off. Tax cuts and tariff wars guarantee it.
  20. IMO that would imply a knowledge of probabilities I find difficult to believe.
  21. Really. How is that going to happen, with both tax cuts and tariffs being inflationary? In his first term, Trump reneged on 53% of his campaign promises. What makes you think 2025 will be different? Trump says he will root out all government officials, and replace them with loyal people. How efficient do you think this new apparatus will be, run by inexperienced people? By discarding environmental safeguards, Trump has his foot on the accelerator of greenhouse gas generation. How far do you think insurance companies will hike their property insurance premiums in high risk locations such as Florida and California? Trump is all about short term gratification, as are many Americans. The average American debt per person is $22,000. More than 70% live from paycheck to paycheck, with no reserve funds in the event of illness or job loss. https://www.forbes.com/advisor/banking/living-paycheck-to-paycheck-statistics-2024/ IMO the mess he leaves behind in 2029 will make his first term seem organized. Children have to touch the stove a couple of times before they find out it is hot.
  22. For those trying to get their blood sugar under control, I suggest fenugreek seed. Soak a teaspoon of it in water overnight. 1/ Fenugreek seeds are high in soluble fiber, which slows down digestion and the absorption of carbohydrates, helping to prevent spikes in blood sugar levels. 2/ Some studies suggest that fenugreek may improve the body's sensitivity to insulin, allowing the hormone to work more effectively in lowering blood sugar. I was prediabetic. My FBS and HBa1C levels are now normal. Not expensive, readily available on Lazada.
  23. No objection whatsoever to Kalamata olives and avocados. IMO avocado is healthy fat. Dark chocolate is supposed to be the healthiest, I am always shopping for 80-90% cacao content. I tend to limit processed meats. I prefer unmodified fish, beef, chicken, pork and eggs for protein.
  24. I take it you are posting from personal experiences with them.
  25. In Australia, we have the left and the right too. Almost invariably, the reforms benefiting ordinary people come from leftist governments. Medicare, social security. The US would do well to copy our Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. The rightist governments are dedicated to enriching those already rich, preserving the status quo, or tearing down leftist reforms. Every time they try, they get a bloody nose from voters.
