  1. Every stock analyst on Wall Street seems to be saying DJT has no value, apart from Trump's name. Which is probably worth sh!t nowadays. Revenue $800,000. Losses $16 million. $3 million spent on TV streaming, no-one seems to know where the other $13 million went. Maybe to Trump in management fees. Even the dumbest bean counter knows this stinks more than week-old fish.
  2. Disagree. Prostitution exists in just about every country on the planet. IMO it is best when it is decriminalized or legalized, because it takes the criminal variable out of the equation. The state of Victoria decriminalized prostitution in 1993. The world didn't fall apart, and Victoria is regarded as one of the better states in terms of corruption. Queensland has only just decriminalized prostitution, and it has been a byword for corruption and criminal activity for decades.
  3. If you have some starry-eyed illusion marriage is not sex for money, dream on. Except for the most delusional, most women have a good provider at the top of their wish list.
  4. I actually think my marriage might have endured if we both had been able to have a bit on the side. I was captive to the concepts of duty and responsibility for far too long. It was a liberating experience when I broke free.
  5. Either your daughter has taken on your values, or she hasn't. Sod all you can do about if she hasn't, and it doesn't matter where she is on the planet.
  6. Are you for real? Why do you think it's called the oldest profession? Men will always pay for sex, women will always sell sex. Whether they do it inside or outside the bounds of marriage is irrelevant. This weeks' award for Most Ridiculous Hypothetical goes to............
  7. False assertion. Female students here are known as sideline girls. It is estimated about one third of female university students are offering long-term or short-term sex to assist with their living expenses. They openly run advertisements in Thai media, which the average foreigner never sees. They are usually looking for sugar daddies. Not surprising when the average government debt for a degree is 300,000 baht. It's not just Thailand either. My son was in a university dormitory in Melbourne for three years. 30 student rooms, 27 female students, 3 males. He said he knew 10 of the women were selling sex on the side, two were even working in registered brothels. He never said anything about his own sex life, but I reckon he did well with the leftovers.
  8. Death is usually the result of drug addiction, rape is an assertion of power. It's not about sex. Abuse happens with women on a daily basis, who are not prostitutes. What evidence do you have the incidence of death, rape and abuse is higher among women who sell sex, compared with those who do not?
  9. Sorry, but "keep my hand in" is a really infelicitous choice of words.
  10. I am just below the desired BMI of 25. Genetically, my forebears have all been heavy-boned. No-one in my family has ever had osteoporosis. When I had a bone density scan a year ago, the technician said I was at the top end of the scale. No jokes about my skull, please. Being a the high end of BMI, I feel I have to watch what I eat much more carefully than most. In Thailand, sugar goes into damn near everything. Dairy Home organic yoghurt ( 450 gm tub ) is labelled no added sugar. Presumably it still contains lactose.
  11. True. I can remember one woman, mid-thirties, whose enthusiasm for sex exceeded even mine. She loved getting laid. My only problem was she got so loud the whole condo could hear her.
  12. I can't really say how many hookers were honest with me. We didn't get into deep and meaningful conversation. I can remember one that said she was not happy with what she did, and wanted to return to her home town. OTOH, quite a few really enjoyed getting it on, or were very good actresses. Some fond memories. It's coming up to ten years since I was in a bar. I don't think much will have changed.
  13. True. I am thinking more of the female sex slaves claimed by our resident halo-wearer. I must be moving in the wrong circles, everyone I met when I was in the bars seemed to be there voluntarily.
  14. Obviously, you are going to hell, where Satan will barbecue you for eternity.
  15. You have stated you are a Christian. Which means you believe in something which you can't see, hear or touch. I have always treated women with respect and consideration, irrespective of whether I was paying them for sex, or not. It always annoys me when religions claim they are the only ones who can have a moral high ground. Judging by the history of the Christian churches in respect of pedophilia, a spurious claim. Pedophilia was actually created by church policy. I suspect your take on human trafficking comes from selective reading of reports which fit your cognitive bias.
  16. It's not much use posting brand names of yoghurts which are compiled by a nutritionist living in Brooklyn, New York. This is Thailand.
  17. If you can find a complex carbohydrate which is better than bamboo, I will eat it. Almost zero carb content. Very high fiber content. I am reasonably sure Thais eat it to offset the constipating effects of rice. Here's what bamboo has: Vitamins B6, E and K Potassium, copper, manganese and zinc Fiber, protein, low calorie, polyphenols ( antioxidants )
  18. Your choice. Don't presume to lecture me on mine.
  19. I will repeat my question. Tell me what nutrients complex carbs have that bamboo, mushrooms and all the green vegetables don't.
  20. I really don't know how much of any slave trade is operating in Thailand. IMO you don't either, unless you are partaking of the same pleasure you are preaching from your pulpit about, and handing out questionnaires afterwards.. No doubt, debt is a factor, incurred either by the woman herself, or her family. I also think for many it is a choice. Between spending all day under a broiling sun in the rice fields for 200 baht a day, or getting much more for an hour or two in comfortable surroundings, with something like ten minutes of actual physical effort.
  21. You keep dodging the questions I put to you. Tell me what nutrients complex carbs have that bamboo, mushrooms and all the green vegetables don't. Very easy for me to feel full. Bamboo, avocado as an entree.
  22. Poverty, and culture. I would have to say Thais are the most cheerfully promiscuous people on the planet. They don't seem to tie themselves in moral knots, and have no guilt about sex, or exchanging it for money. To them, it's like having a good meal. Which makes a refreshing change from the furtive and supposedly sinful liaisons of the West. Where do I get this thinking from? Experience in both milieus, and rejecting one as stupid.
  23. All I can say is my diet worked for me, going from 93 kg to 78 kg. I really doubt if it would have worked as well eating potatoes, rice, bread and noodles as you suggest. To me, that is misleading and potentially dangerous advice. Tell me where in my first post the foods I mention don't have a better fiber content than the above. If you look at the labels on most brands of bread and noodles, there is some serious sh!t added to them to keep them fresh and tasting good. Do you deny that after sugars, carbohydrates are next in line as an energy source? You can't start burning fat until the sugar ans carbohydrates are gone. You obviously have stayed fit and lean most of your life. Good for you. However, your take on diet for weight loss in older people is reminiscent of Woody Allen advising Arnold Schwarzenegger how to go about increasing muscle.
  24. Really. Perhaps you can explain how Islam, perhaps the most restrictive of religions, permits Muslims to have up to four wives.
  25. "Dairy Home" organic yoghurt says no added sugar on the label. Even Greek yoghurts contain lactose. IIRC there is one Meiji? yoghurt which is labelled 0/0, which I suppose means no sugar, no fat. Beware of skim milk, it is actually enriched in lactose.
