For everyone's benefit, could you publish a record of how many times you have posted this sentence, or minor variations to it? -

Getting it wrong yet again. I had a different one about 6 years ago, then changed to my current one. I don't have multiple ID's. Look up "sequential" in the dictionary, unless words of three syllables are too much for you. What's with the ( not reported ) ? Are you expecting a gold star for your forehead? Your halo has slipped to your ankles, the post I am responding to is (a) off topic (b) trolling. -

Being called a racist is simply dishonest argument. It's a cop-out, when all the road death and injury statistics are saying Thailand is one of the worst countries in the two categories. I wonder how I can be pigeonholed that way, when I speak reasonable Thai, and continue to have a good relationship with my Thai GF for nearly ten years. -

It seems to me I am the one being stalked. Still laughing at your own inane jokes, please show me where someone has joined you with an emoticon. IIRC you mostly get sads. As for being bored, I suspect anyone in your company would be completely over you in about ten minutes, if your real-life persona is anything like your posting persona. I can't recall you posting any content of use to anyone on other threads, let alone this one. Here's an example of what I posted on another thread, to help a member who was doing their first retirement extension. It demonstrates you are wrong - again. Retirement extension documents: TM7 + 1 Passport photo. Obtain form from Immigration, use blue biro only. Bank Letter. Bank statement, 6 months duration. Bank Book updated same day. Photocopy update as well. Copies of all pages of bank book. Copies of last extension + front page of passport, plus all stamped pages. Ensure hidden stamps are copied, and copy foldovers. Reason for Extension: Retirement, Thai family, or both. 1900 baht Keep 1900 baht receipt, needed when collecting passport if left there. ( Blue colour ) -

You may be confusing me with someone who gives a sh!t about your opinions. Permit me to doubt there is more than one or two posters on this thread who do. -

There is another reason, which is a product of the Thai driving mindset. Some drivers are running red lights because they are scared of being rear-ended. I can remember slowing for an orange light, and watching some d!ckhead in a pickup in my mirrors, coming up far too fast on me. I finished up halfway into the intersection avoiding a collision, fortunately the green light traffic cut me some slack. The incident had me thinking a rear-mounted machine gun would be useful. -

I'd agree with you on the basis of a few repetitive posts. When it gets to 500, IMO the comparison is accurate. -

Over 500 posts on the same topic is trolling. Proposed changes are a myth until they are passed in legislation. Start crowing then about how wonderful you are. As I have never said the proposed changes were fake news, you're a liar. -

I will post content when it is factual. OTOH, you post speculation and pretend it is fact. IIRC a leading exponent of publishing lies as fact - repeatedly - was Joseph Goebbels. -
I was about two weeks late, and was told by a friend to expect a 2000 baht fine. I went into CR Immigration apologizing profusely, and they let me off with no fine. Maybe they thought I was senile, due to my age.

As far as marriage goes, once was enough for me. I must be lucky, my Thai GF has made herself indispensable. I suppose the OP might get lucky if he keeps trying, but it must get expensive.

I don't use COD on Lazada. My GF does, and occasionally gets scammed - goods not corresponding with description. Lazada was very good recently, when a supplier double debited me. The supplier's chat line was inoperable - with a 98% rating. I phoned Lazada's English line, the guy spoke very good English. He asked me to email him a screenshot of the double debit in my account. A day later, my money was refunded.

When you use terms such as ridiculous, nonsensical and far-fetched, I have this mental image of a Colonel Blimp, indignantly spluttering into his sherry in the officer's bar. Apologies if that is not you.

The bank statement will be up to the date you ask for it at the bank, along with the bank letter. I usually get it one or two days before I present at Immigration for the extension. I understand some immigration offices ask for a one year statement from the bank, which may take up to a week to get. The six month statement is usually about 20 minutes. A six month statement is acceptable at the Chiang Rai office. IMO the passbook updated the same day should be the most significant document in determining whether the rules have been obeyed. However, this is Thailand, where superfluous paper rules.

I'll pay that one.

IMO unless the job the OP has is mind-crushing, stay with it. It's impossible to predict what a particular nation's currency will buy in ten years' time. I can remember when the AUD was fetching 32 baht, it has been as low as 20. Governments have a bad habit of printing money. Everyone is different, retirement can't come soon enough for some. I would still be working if I could.

It may be worthwhile to get a re-entry permit as well. The updated extension will be needed if you do. Retirement extension documents: TM7 + 1 Passport photo. Obtain form from Immigration, blue biro. Bank Letter. Bank statement, 6 months duration. Bank Book updated same day. Photocopy update as well. Copies of all pages of bank book. Copies of last extension + front page of passport, plus all stamped pages. Ensure hidden stamps are copied, and copy foldovers. Reason for Extension: Retirement, or Thai family. 1900 baht Keep 1900 baht receipt, needed when collecting passport if left there. ( Blue colour ) Multiple re-entry permit: TM8 + 1X Passport photo. Copy of updated retirement extension. Copy of front page of passport Remember to paste in the photos on both forms. Sign everything on all pages.
