  1. The OP has said she is a foreigner. The probability of her developing HiSo/Mafia connections approaches zero.
  2. If she is that obsessed, rest assured it will happen again. Be ready when it does.
  3. You have a Thai wife. She is a foreigner. Obviously speaks English. Find out who she is renting from, then have your wife speak with the owner. Record her when she is calling you a pervert/pedophile, then consult a lawyer. Thai penalties for defamation can be quite onerous, and include jail time of up to two years..
  4. Yes. I've even seen them on the fairways where I play golf in Chiang Rai. They are very common. The orange fungi which seem to be mainly associated with pine forests are toxic if eaten raw. They need to be boiled until grey, after which they smell like freshly baked bread. Drain and fry with garlic butter, delicious.
  5. Foraging for mushrooms is commonplace in many countries. MY GF loves collecting dark brown fungi that look like turds to me. Aroi mak. The death cap toadstool is easily mistaken for normal mushrooms with a white top and pink gills, particularly in the early growth stages. I only collect that species when the gills have turned brown. Personally, I prefer what I call horse mushrooms, with a brown top and nearly black gills, much more flavor. Was it deliberate? Probably not. If it was, quite stupid to use something easily identified.
  6. Revisiting this thread after 43 pages. The Trump acolytes are still worshipping. Jack Smith keeps piling on more charges. Trump responds with violent rhetoric. I am still waiting for a judge to toss Trump in the slammer for contempt of court.
  7. Ouch. Were you popular with the hosties?
  8. My understanding was much of the lead poisoning during Prohibition came in the form of bullets. Be that as it may, it is estimated 1 million people still die annually from lead poisoning. Children are the worst affected.
  9. My GF likes gold jewellery. She gets it when I can afford it.
  10. The key factor in recovery from surgery is the amount of rehabilitation undertaken. It is very important to find a good physiotherapist who is experienced in rehab. Unless your wife's father is willing and able to work on the rehab, he may be better off doing nothing. It also depends on how much pain he has now.
  11. Be honest, you like watching train wrecks.
  12. Excluding your OCD thread posting, of course.
  13. Enlighten me, what else? Apart from the alcohol itself, that is. Currently watching "Boardwalk Empire". A bit nostalgic, as I was in Atlantic City for a conference in 1986.
  14. I like informative YouTube posts. I regularly watch stuff by John Cadogan, Peter Zeihan, Dr. Ken Berry, and Ted Talks. OTOH, posts by Mr. Beast leave me cold, I have to wonder what the world is coming to, when posters like him can become very wealthy, by being idiots. I don't watch Thailand vloggers, I do most of their stuff myself.
  15. Methyl alcohol is poisonous, it's where blindness and death come from with illicit alcohol. Hence the term blind drunk. It is metabolized to formaldehyde in the liver. Oddly enough, the therapy for methanol poisoning is to imbibe even more ethanol, as it speeds up elimination.
  16. I am quite happy to make do with a BJ in the interim.
  17. Stopped in February.
  18. Seems to me most is coming from the EV fanboys. Quite odd, seeing they pride themselves on the absence of emissions from their vehicles.
  19. Going to college, a secondhand bike I bought for 5 pounds ( pre decimal currency ) with the proceeds from collecting scrap metal. About 10 km between school and college, rain or shine. Rode that bike for 4 years. Saved up from my first job, bought a FX Holden sedan for 50 pounds. Still traveled to work by train. Sex became possible once I had four wheels.
  20. India is well known for gastric problems. The term 'Delhi belly" was coined for a reason.
  21. It depends on initial assembly. I had one in Australia I recharged after 20 years.
  22. What was that I was saying about EV's being a religion?
  23. A Polestar was driven across the Nullarbor in Australia to prove it could. Publicity stunt. It was recharged by a truck carrying a diesel generator. Environmentally sustainable, because the generator was fuelled by recycled oil from the fish and chip shops in Perth.
  24. Being kicked in the head repeatedly can turn anyone into a vegetable. It's sheer luck nobody died.
  25. I believe so, she would never serve me cold food. She knows I detest it. I can't say I trained her to prepare everything fresh, IMO that's just what she does.
