I have an Australian will, and a Thai will. The Australian will acknowledges the existence of the Thai will. All assets in Australia go to my son there.

Why worry about something that will take place after the OP is gone? My Thai will leaves everything in Thailand to my Thai GF. If she's smart, it will be enough to give her a comfortable old age. If she is not, it will be gone in a couple of years. Her problem, not mine. I have done my best to educate her on the virtues of planning for her future.

It is not uncommon for families to put pressure on a farang's GF/wife to provide money for their support. To them, we are all ATM's. Why work, if you can bludge off a farang? I used to give my GF's father small amounts of money for doing gardening. I also hand out gifts of money at Christmas time. I've found unless I set boundaries with Thai people, they will usually attempt to expand them.

Bear in mind it is quite common for a farang to be asked to help out with a large bill in a Thai family. That's based on the assumption we are all rich. I was asked to put in 10,000 baht to the funeral of my GF's father, it cost about 30,000 baht and was all about maintaining face with the neighbors. I am also contributing to the cost of her grand-daughter's education, I know the parents have no money. Having said that, my GF has learned from early experience it is not a good idea to lie to me.

IMO there is no way a Thai public hospital should be charging 18,000 baht for a Thai citizen's broken leg, irrespective of the circumstances. In your shoes, I would be asking my GF to show me the bill from the hospital. If she can't or won't, she is trying it on. It then depends on what value you put on the relationship, and if you are prepared to accept being lied to.

As my GF does the washing, drying and ironing, my involvement is minimal. We don't have a clothes dryer. It's simply a matter of hanging out the clothes, sheets and towels under cover. If it takes one hour, or three days, so be it. Americans have some good qualities, patience is not one of them. Hurry hurry hurry.

It's not. If you can find a good mechanic, a Chevvy should be no problem. They are reasonably robust, if somewhat agricultural. Dealer service is usually more expensive, and some employ low-cost, inexperienced labor to assist the bottom line of the dealership. I have an independent mechanic servicing a 3 yo Mazda 2, keeps it running like a Swiss watch.

Salary? Hourly/daily rate?

The Russian failures in logistics, weapons and morale have been quite stunning. They will be in military case studies for decades to come. It's a predictable outcome from the massive corruption within Russia. Having said that, the West needs to maintain resolve in view of the reverse sanctions on energy that have been applied by Putin. And keep on supplying the armaments the Ukrainians need. There's an epidemic of "accidental " deaths going on in the ranks of the oligarchs now. Strange to think a single well-placed bullet could end the suffering of both Ukrainians and Russians.

I remember there was a very large beehive in my former condo on the balcony of an unoccupied apartment. The size of a double bed. A couple of the more enterprising security staff decided to smoke the bees out, then recover the honey. One was cutting off football-sized chunks, two others were below catching the honeycomb. It's a miracle no-one was killed, the beehive was on the nineteenth floor.

On what basis do you say ATK tests are useless for Omicron? I've detected COVID several times in family members with them. If you were unvaccinated, a 500 baht blood test for antibodies would establish if you had COVID. If you were vaccinated, you will never know.

Girls and Tatoos, how much is too much ?

I prefer women without them. A small, tasteful one is OK. To me, the men and women who get covered in them are either making a statement, or indulging in masochism. That's opinion, I have no facts to back it up. -
The Russians, along with Belorussia, had a border contiguous with Ukraine. In terms of logistics, that is a hell of a lot easier to move troops and armor, than across 170 km of water. Where technically advanced American nuclear submarines would be lurking. The Chinese are not dumb. They are getting free military lessons from the Russians on how important logistics are to conduct a successful campaign. While Xi has the objective of crowning his tenure with the takeover of Taiwan, I'd say his military chiefs are saying wait until we have parity with the Americans.

We should believe Russian propaganda instead? AFAIK, social media and MSM in the west is only censored by the people who own said media. There is a wide range of views, ranging from serious, based on fact, to downright loopy. A lot of fact-checking gets aired. In Russia, social platforms have been shut down. Expressing an opinion opposing the war in Ukraine can land anyone 15 years in jail. Rapists and murderers in Russia get less. The government has ceased reporting some of the most basic economic data, to conceal the fact Russia's economy is tanking far worse than anything in the West. Any data that is reported is suspect.

What plan is that? Getting multiple supply depots, command posts and bridges destroyed by Ukrainian HIMARS units? Being forced to supply 20,000 stranded Russians with helicopters? Having Russian holidaymakers evacuating Crimea? Is it part of Putin's master plan to lose an embarrassing number of flag officers, and ask North Korea for 100,000 troops? I've seen some absolute drivel posted on this thread, yours takes first prize.

The Mae Kok river in Chiang Rai is as high as I have ever seen it, and flowing fast. The military golf course next to it has been flooded for two weeks.
