Is Sam Altman actually a woman?
Lacessit replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
As a homophobic post, quite elaborate. I don't have a problem with gays, I am educated enough to know same-sex relationships are not confined to homo sapiens. In fact, present in about 1500 animal species. I have also observed gays are quite frequently a lot brighter than the average, which you may regard as a threat. -
Strange and annoying things here in land of smiles

You buy a new car or new phone every six months, to get so upset? Take a Valium before you go shopping. No, I don't want to feel you.- 177 replies

RFK Jr. blows the whistle on the DREADED FLU SHOT
Lacessit replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Covid/Vaccine
The usual anti-vaxxer tripe. I've been having flu shots for more than 50 years. I've never had the flu in that time. One potential side effect is my tolerance for idiots is decreasing. -
Is Sam Altman actually a woman?
Lacessit replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I must be living under a rock, never heard of Sam Altman and had to Google him. Interesting to note his partner is Australian, which probably helped him succeed. -
Acetone will dissolve superglue. Unfortunately, it also defats skin. Hmmm.... glued to your head. See where I am going with this?

7 - odd bankruptcies and a losing trade war with China does not look like any kind of good deal to me. True, Trump postures a lot. Are you a mind-reader, that you can divine his real intention?

Trump craves legitimacy and acknowledgment from the establishment he derides. He also thinks in terms of real estate. As a sociopath, he does not care about the loss of life - on either side. " Suckers and losers" springs to mind. He wants to go down in history as a great President. That's his narcissism. He's unaware that ship has already sailed, with an anchor dragging.

JHC, there's a cost of living, homeless, and public health crisis in America, and Trump wants to change a <deleted> name? Surreal.

France is unique in being independent of the USA and Russia w.r.to military equipment. It builds its own submarines and fighter jets. An unlikely scenario, but you should be careful what you wish for.

January 6, 2021 -- a day that will live in infamy
Lacessit replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
I take it you have heard of a cure being worse than the disease. Trump promised a lot during his first term. A wall, a health care system. Containing debt. He achieved nothing. Played a lot of golf. What makes you think he will do better in his second term, with advisers whose only qualification is absolute loyalty? -
Trump will be a busy man. While he is building the wall no-one seems to want to pay for, he will have to figure out a way to stop the Greenland ice cap from melting if he takes over. A tough call, considering what a source of hot air he is. Any takers for a Trump resort in Greenland? I know it's a big leap from gold sneakers and bibles.

January 6, 2021 -- a day that will live in infamy
Lacessit replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
My point is on January 6, there were about 2000 -2500 people who violently disputed the election result. On November 5, 50% of Americans who voted, acquiesced in electing Trump. 77 million of them. On that day, America lost its mind and its soul.- 116 replies

January 6, 2021 -- a day that will live in infamy
Lacessit replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
Disagree. The day that should live in infamy was when the world's most wealthy democracy elected a felon and sexual predator as its President. Any other democracy would hang its head in shame.- 116 replies

The CDC stopped reporting cases of mild and asymptomatic COVID cases on its website. It continues to monitor breakthrough infections resulting in hospital admissions and death. My comment on ICU admissions is independent of the CDC. It's Australian data. The number of unvaccinated people is declining. It's logical hospital admissions of unvaccinated people would also decline. But then, logic is not usually a strong suit of conspiracy theorists. Don't worry, RFK will sort it all out for you.
