I think the hammer on his car would have been more effective ????
EFFECTIVE for what? to start a war?
that neighbour caused many problems, for example he used to walk his dog at 3 AM daily. than
allways "lose" him and start calling him loud. or that his sons use to bar-b- que until 5 or 6 in the morning, in the yard, where all the hood can hear and smell them.
but since it is a very - VERY- quiet neighbourhood, with quiet and religious people, nobody confronted
them as they were used to in their previous hard hood, nobody was angry with them, everybody
just smiled and wellcomed them, until one day, around a year later, they stopped all the nonsense and became also quiet and considerate. i guess they started hearing their noise and got ashamed of themselves.

logically (if a 14-day Covid insurance was accepted for the COE) you ought to be stamped in for a 14-day permission to stay.
the COE for sandbox is for min. 14 days. what you do after that is not their concern, so
the embassy only want to see insurance for 14 days. if you will stay later without insurance is
not the embassy concern. also immigration does not require to see insurance for non-O extention.
so just show the embassy a 14 day insurance and get your COE.

we had a neighbour like that, but not in thailand.
he came new near out house, and rumor had it that hehas a criminal
record and hisbrother was in jail.
than his sons allways parked in our private parking. we had to go and ask them
nicely to move their car. and they would do it. again and again and again, for allmost a year. than they stopped it.
you see, some people are just like that. they want to show they are the boss.
they want to provoke you. to start a fight. and when you do not respond, and
just talk politely and respectfully, one day they will wake up and stop it.

opening the borders of the country is one thing, and opening the country's economy and shops
is another thing.
not many tourists will come when all shops bars and restaurants are closed.
right now there is a strict alcohol ban, so the streets are empty.
tourists who came here feel sorry and cheated, everything is closed so why did they come?
to sit in the hotel and watch TV?

And this is where a SWIFT would be cheaper, at Nationwide it is £20 for any amount.
yes. most banks will be much cheaper for this amount, and SWIFT will be much cheaper, even
after the exchange rate benefits.
however, need to check the exchange rate the bank in thailand will give. and see the difference.

if you ever wanted to return the money to the Uk you might need proof of having it sent here
the bank cannot tell if it was the same money that was sent from the UK ...money has no smell...what
counts for the bank is where the customer is resident. if he will reside in thailand for few years
than the bank will see the source.

GBP 100K is a trivial amount to transfer
it might be trivial to the bank but very significant to the customer.
depands on the customer profile with the bank, even 1000 can be an issue, if the
customer is flagged as high risk.

the ones who will benefit will be banks.
however as you mentioned, there are many cases where people need urgent cash, like
tourists , so this is quite an aggressive and surprising move from WESTERN UNION thailand, who
anyway is considered a rip off with their much worse exchange rates.

Generally, people who have their passports forcibly taken and held don't get many opportunities to saunter down to their embassy.
why not? if they can go to their embassy than they can get it.

No that is simply incorrect. If you disbelieve me then download the TTB app , it will ask you if you wish to register via activation code (this comes from the app on your old phone) or, debit card (you also need your account no & ID/Passport no). After you make your selection it then asks you to disconnect WiFi & use mobile data - that mobile data must come from the SIM card associated with the phone number with which you registered your account ie your Thai SIM card. The Krungsri app now makes the same request when transferring to a new phone - activation code/debit card not required, only account no. & ID/Passport No. There is no option on either of these apps to use SMS.
to be honest, i never use the app. only website. safer.

what we are seeing in those photos is an amazing medical experiment on humans.
if there is a pandemic and a highly contagous virus, than this crowd should result in
mass infections.
if there won't be so many infections, than it simply means that there is no pandemic, just
open the whole country and forget about this corona nonsense.

without subscribing to a DTAC international roaming package
yes you need international roaming. wifi has nothing to do with it.
the roaming SMS is free to get (only calls are expensive).
so all you need is a valid thai sim card.
you can pay for one year validity . AIS is 290 baht. TRUE 700 baht.
