This does look a decent base. I like using dark vinegar because I like the final contrast between the darker skin of the egg and the white inside. I also like whole chillies boiled on the mix (same as when I make my moody vinegar for pie & mash). Ginger is interesting too. The tip posted by someone about a toothpick through the egg to help the pickling liquid better penetrate the egg is interesting. I imagine the cheaper the stick the quicker it works. Smooth nicely finished wood (so also cocktail sticks) won't absorb liquid well. A nice thread, Thanks OP.

Any scuttlebutt on how long you're considered fully vaccinated?

Except that unlike a flu jab maybe it won't be optional, if you want to eat in restaurants, fly or visit other countries, etc. -
Ex-police chief ‘Joe Ferrari’ has 600 MILLION baht in assets

It's little different to Greek shipowning companies. They pay their senior office managers poor salaries because they are expected to make it up by skimming off purchases, charter hires, etc. It's the way of their world. Just business ???? -
Singaporean is a mix of Chinese and Malay in very varying degrees. I'm really not sure you can say they have a generic look. Generally I can make a good fist of guessing, except as someone else says, Korean and Japanese can be impossible, and SE China/NW India is generally impossible. ???? All beautiful though, from the shortest, darkest Isaan pretty to the tallest, palest Harbin lovely.

Prepare for a spike, public health expert says, but don’t panic
Speedhump replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well, as you've decided to stop being arrogant and 'telling everyone what they should already know', I'll engage with you. 12 August 2021 - nature.com Emerging data suggest that Delta could spread more readily than other coronavirus variants among people vaccinated against COVID-19. "Data from COVID-19 tests in the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore are showing that vaccinated people who become infected with Delta SARS-CoV-2 can carry as much virus in their nose as do unvaccinated people. This means that despite the protection offered by vaccines, a proportion of vaccinated people can pass on Delta, possibly aiding its rise. “People who have a Delta virus and happen to have ‘breakthrough’ infections can carry these really high levels of virus, and can unwittingly spread the virus to others,” says David O’Connor, a virologist at the University of Wisconsin–Madison." Personally I don't believe that transmission can be prevented to any great degree, 'the studies' (some) show some reduction in transmission, that's all. With mutations that are regularly occurring it seems even more of an impossible task. Consider the flu jab, only partially effective each year. Many (most?) people don't bother, even older people. So let it rip once vaccinations have reached most of the population and let it spread but with reduced symptoms due to vaccination. We must learn to live with it. Old folk have been screaming in some countries when they were locked in their houses, that just can't happen, free will is the condition of man (OK, some would argue not) and must be respected, within the bounds of the law. -

Arrogant and stupid. I didn't say there aren't benefits to being vaccinated. ???? -

You're aware I guess that one swallow doesn't make a summer. This sounds good but it's just one institute. That was my point. And which vaccines. -
Yep, fine. She's once bitten but not twice shy. I'm sure she's prepared to put up with him raiding her bank account for his gambling nights, and the occasional punch in the stomach (hopefully not while knowingly pregnant as a friend of mine suffered, she's also 41, but sworn off Thai men for life, she says). Let's hope he's not army or BIB, maybe she has a small chance of happiness.

I'd like to see how many studies show a SIGNIFICANT reduction in contracting the virus after vaccination. I believe that there are many studies already with no solid proof that any/all vaccines can give any 'worthwhile' protection against infection. The truth such as there is, will be in the numbers. -

I feel that banks will be happy to own a concrete asset which they can just sit on for time, and not just lose their loans to bankrupt individuals. I've known companies (eg Polly Peck) who invested in a shipping company who h went belly up, and ended up owning ships, then employing a ship management company to try to run them. It's called making the best best of a bad job. After a few years the did sell them though. At least at the end of the day you have a physical asset worth cents on the dollar, rather than zip. ???? -
Are Appetite Suppressants Available in Pharmacies?
Speedhump replied to Chris.B's topic in I'm Too Fat Forum
Can you find a dodgy Chinese pharmacy? They always seem to sell all sorts, including these capsules. If so please share the details with me. Yes they're amphetamine and yes they leave you tied to the crapper, but they do work. Not seen them in Thailand but then I haven't looked hard. ???????? -
