There is no requirement for proof of transfers from abroad if you have proof of income from a embassy. Immigration could ask for proof of that income but it does no have to be proof of transfers. It could be something from the source of the income such as a penrion statement.
And this embassy willingness to produce authenticated paperwork of course depends totally on your nationality. As the song goes: 'some girls will. some girls won't'.

He using a embassy issued proof of income to prove his income not monthly transfers.
He is using the combination of income and money in the bank to reach a total of 800k baht. They are wanting proof that his money in bank was kept at the correct balance required by the rules for a year after his previous extension.
Ah yes, thanks, so he needs proof of both actually, including proof of transfer from outside Thailand. Got it.

HH also accept 2 x 6 month statements.
Not at the start of this year. If they do now then that's an advancement of sorts. But Kbsnk will only print off the last three months free anyway, then 500 baht for each earlier statement, so best to keep on top of it.

No he is not. From the OP.
Yes he is, monthly transfers rather than 800k in the bank. The post I replied to was explaining the 800k method, I was saying their answer was not relevant to the OP.

It takes me 4 days to get a 12 month copy of my bank book from Bangkok Bank in Ratchaburi. I do not know if it takes longer if you live farther away from Bangkok. But why would the person wait until 3 days were left to do his extension when you could do it 30 or in some cases 45 days early. Go to immigrations when they open. I am sure they will be closed on Friday for the holiday so you lose that time. As immigrations if you can copy your bank book and use it now and get the 12 month statement to them when your the bank gets it. I still don't understand why anyone would wait so late to do their extension.
Immigration in Hua Hin require 12 monthly statements specifically showing that the monthly income has come from overseas. They absolutely do not accept a bank book as substitute.

They are wanting proof this year that full the full amount of the money in the bank stayed in the bank for 3 months and then half of it for the remainder of the year.
Apparently that is Bangkok Bank since they are the only one needing a week to get them as far as I know. If it is Bangkok Bank and he is near Bangkok he could go the to the main office on Silom Road and get it while he waits.
There is no extension he can apply for. But there would be no overstay fine until after the 31st. But he needs to talk to the office where he is applying about doing his extension a few days late.
He is not talking about that, he is talking about monthly proof of transfer from overseas....

Not a subject to discuss with strangers but you should be able to talk with your wife if you chose her for brains as much as looks? I think I made a good point there..
My 40 year old g/f loved the old Deleted, hates the new, and despises the government. Is sickened by the poor financial response to COVID, she lost her job months ago and is existing only on what I can give her, no Thai will employ a dark-ish skinned large bodied but pretty woman. She strongly supports the protests, but doesn't discuss with her friends, only me.
The female Thai owner of my favourite restaurant is the same on both Deleted and government.
Not much to discuss as I'm not an expert and don't want to be, but it shouldn't be taboo.

I guess they only asked farmers.

well, those interested can ask me or others how to use . You are not thai so how can you say what you would prefer to hear ? It should be obvious that one should politely greet the officer/person with a wai OR a sawatdi krap first.
i always say kaw chuay noi ..... (can you please help....) then continue to explain what the question or situation is. Pom yak plien cheu etc etc ...... Tham yangrai dee krap Translation : i would like to change the name etc etc How is a good way to do ?
The use of krap and wais is good, but can be overused as well as underused. This is not the Thai language forum so i did not and do not want to start a discussion as such.
I was just trying to add a little hint for those few interested , that asking for "help" seems to work well for me. A certain level of thai is needed to continue..... but that is how we learn (by trying).
I'm not hugely criticising but it would have been helpful to include the meaning, not make people to ask you. And whatever statement you are going to lead with should have a polite 'khap' at the end. You know that Thais like to hear that when opening or closing a conversation, you don't need to be Thai, so please stop with the 'how do you knows'.
To catch attention I would use a smiling 'khor thot, khap' then ask for help, without repeating 'khap'. This post is obviously not for Thai speakers and so lengthy expositions of what you then might ask is probably not helpful.
And we certainly should not attempt to explain where and when and to whom and which wai is appropriate. Thais in general will not expect most farang to wai anyway. There's a lot more to say about that, I know, but as you say this is not the topic here.

Start with two words that make a world of difference : CHUAY NOI ..........
very simple but took me 10 years (since there was no internet to help me) to learn that it makes
a big difference when asking for assistance.
For some reason you don't provide a translation. But anyway, would you not say 'khap'?
If a Thai, I would prefer to hear 'chuay noi, khap'.
{for non Thai-speakers it means can you help)

The vet we use put one of our chihuahua's on antibiotics, I looked them up same ones a doctor would give
Place the meds in the mutts mouth, lift his head so the nose it high up and hold mouth shut, also rub under his neck at the same time
He will swallow the meds
Tried that many times with no success! Even placing the tablet right at the back of the tongue. My old dad used to be able to do it.
Weird. ????

Drugs for animals can be expensive from a vet. If they're needed long term it's significant. Human remedies are sometimes effective and far cheaper, but close investigation must be made first for side effects, effectiveness and obviously correct dosage. Antihistamines for pruritus are a good example, safe in correct dosage but only some will be effective for dogs. Obviously better to find and eradicate the cause (usually an allergy of some sort but sometimes very difficult).

Yes many restaurants and bars open but the wife and I were almost always the only customers eating and drinking. The beach was particularly deserted, the only people we seen in the sea were locals collecting shellfish.
There were 4 rooms occupied in our 25 room hotel. We stayed Wed Thus Fri and Sat and the weekends were no different. Saw a group of 10 same-tshirt wearing staycationers who had obviously taken advantage of the Hilton and other 5 star resorts in the government initiative.
The Market VIllage mall and the night market was also deathly quiet.
The only busy place was behind Blueport Mall where there was a festival of sorts aimed at locals. Tamarind Market was about 20% full. The Father Ted Irish bar had a (very bad) Rolling Stones Tribute Band on the Friday night, and it was packed with farang expats, but everywhere else was deserted.
The bar area in Soi Bintabaht was the quietest i've seen it, and there is whole row of 5 or 6 closed-down restaurants. The locals/owners we spoke to are thinking late next year for any real recovery, if they can survive till then.
Very sad as it is my favourite place to have a short break.
Thanks for the accurate report. I live there and there are a few Thai tourists knocking about at weekends. Market Village mall is dead 4-5 days of the week. There is serious talk of shutting the shopping floors of Bluport, only leaving open the restaurant (ground) level the basement (banks and some shops

No you are comparing right, I think. However, the small studio you are talking about can be more new and better designed as well as more modern.
What I am talking about is not far away. In Bangkok, one that I rent i in Sukhumvit Soi 77, On Nut. Like 5 min to Sky Train.
Others are in Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Hat Yai. Also not very much away from thing, but at the same time not in the middle. Thanks, very interesting.

Absolutely no problem. At the moment I rent 6 different places around Thailand. Two of them in Bangkok. Most of them have a rent on 2500-4500 baht. All of them have aircon and hot water. The two for 4500 each are townhouses with 2 bedroom, 2 toilets and a big kitchen dining space downstair.
Never any risk for burglary. I would think it would be a higher risk the more you pay for your living.
That a surprise. How far out of town? A one bedroom with shower room, tiny balcony and a/c (but cold water) in Hua Hin is 4000 a month. Key entry to a nice quiet totally safe apartment block 2-3 minutes from the main drag.
Am I comparing apples with oranges?

If you expect and want channels with 100% uptimes then IPTV is not for you. You are better off with Sling TV, Amazon Prime or Youtube TV or something similar, or sticking with your current cable or satellite service. You are paying most likely like 15 - 20$ a month, for a selection of several thousand channels worldwide, while in the UK only the UK sports channels already would cost you 100$ a month.
They don't have a call centre, a team of dedicated professionals taking shifts, and the most expensive equipment and technology out there like the cable providers do. It's usually one or at most two or three people behind the scenes maintaining things, and then a bunch of resellers.
Point is, if you're expecting perfection, you're going to be disappointed. Every service has hiccups. Every. Single. One. There's downtime, there's buffering, there's incomplete EPG, there is always something and it's impossible for there not to be.
Yes, there are providers that are more "stable" than others, but anyone who tells you there is 100% no buffering, never any issues, and never any downtime, is 100% lying to you.
Your experience is not mine. 70 quid a year for everything including all major PPV sports events, zero and I mean zero downtime for 3 years except a few months ago when the law was taking down many stream providers. My IPTV service lost a few channels for a few days. I used free alternatives. Rare buffering which can be cured by switching to HD or SD. But usually I only need to delete my box's cache and restart my high speed Internet.
I agree my EPG can be a bit hit and miss sometimes. Boohoo....

I wasn't one of those people but these services are easily found on the internet in 5 minutes. No need to bother your special time time pm'ing about them. Been using IPTV for years now. 300-340THB/month depending on forex rates.
There are good and bad services, fast and slow ones, ones that get closed down or lose their paid feeds after three months, ones that are out to just collect money with poor service. If you pick up one from ads then good luck to you because you need it, pay only one month at a time and be prepared to keep setting up new services if you're unlucky.

I am also looking for IPTV service, subscription no problem. I tried a 24hr trial with IPTV Solo, Thousands of channels from around the world but impossible to watch as continuously buffering, so if you could send me info on a reliable service I would be grateful.
Also minimum requirements of a TV box (ram/rom/4k etc)
TIA
Hi. Really sorry but after two bad experiences with people asking on TV I've decided not to share details. It's by recommendation only now as they have a lot of subscribers, and ask for only family and friends recommendations to keep everything locked. Apologies.

In Hua Hua my Thai friend lives in one small room with a/c with tiny balcony for 4000 per month. They pay electricity on top. Non a/c is possible for 3000 but slightly bigger (separate bedroom). Apartment block with key entry to building. Quiet and safe.

At age 72 you are right, would not pay a full year's premium. But would easily have paid for accident insurance and some accident policies cover up to 200k in medical....
Or put in the bank, would have paid 60% of his medical bills to date.
If he'd sold something which might even have some sentimental value (you have no idea) he would have realised far less than the amount he paid for it. Whether he had insurance or not (the red herring in this discussion).
Why Thai women get sick after being wet by the rain ? something special in Thailand ?

I do also. I've spent 18 years now in hot climates, but only started to get this problem since being in Thailand’s climate.
