If your an owner buy a filtration system and say goodbye to that nonsense.

I looked at filtration system the other week and it was about 8000 baht for the unit and 3500 baht for a filter every year. It would take about 3 years to break even on the filtration system compared to delivered water, it didnt seem very good value.  The guy in the shop said the lower cost filtration systems (5,000baht + 1000 baht filter twice per year) had fewer filtration processes than the 8000 baht model and to make sure the water is pure the 8000thb is the lowest cost model.

I'm currently using sprinkle, its about 65 baht per 19 liter bottle, very good delivery routine (they exchange empties and leave by our door one day per week). I heard Nestle is cheaper but I heard about occasional problems with their delivery schedule so Sprinkle it is.

  2. "The average Indian visitor spends 50,000 baht on each trip."

    ..including flights?

I would suggest the average visitor from a first world country spends this same amount every 3-7 days on holiday and the average expats living in Thailand maybe every 1-4 weeks..

Its a good job there are many of these Indians to avoid the eventual CLIFF EDGE! :cheesy:

Asking the electorate will be the only way out of the impasse. And it is the most sensible thing to do. The second most sensible thing. The most sensible thing would be to bin Brexit altogether (which will happen eventually anyway).

The problem is that the electorate are in most, unaware of the impact of the decisions they collectively make due to the complexity of politics which is why we have elected politicians.

The second problem is the politicians mostly need to be replaced since they mostly donot seem to have the countries best interest at heart and they are mostly fame mongering bar-stewards all wanting to grab power.

the damage is being caused from the indecisiveness of the clowns..

Brexit should have been either implemented or scrapped long ago, the indecisiveness is now causing clear damage.

  4. What can I say, many Europeans, Brits, Australians etc have tightened their purses and due to the exchange rates Thailand is not the low cost haven iit used to be. I do feel for the Thai's who rely on tourism and exports because they will feel the pinch also.

However I get the feeling the powers that be want a more insular looking society that looks after itself, there will be casualties usually the poorest as usual.

Payment (royalties) from a foreign company not based in Thailand is taxable. The rate varies by country but the vast majority of source countries are taxed at 10%. One notable exception is Taiwan, which as I remember is only 5% because of the terms of a dual taxation policy.

Unless you keep the money outside of Thailand and bring it in after 1 year, then it is not taxable.

Therefore if you do happen to have 1 year of savings outside the country you can rotate the income and savings to be legally tax free. This doesn't mean tax rules do not apply in the country where the income was generated though and there may be a tax liability there.

  6. The dogs are probably attracted to the scent of your own dogs which is why they come to poop in front of your gate.

If you love dogs, you'll spray down the yard every day with a spray of bleach.

If you dont like dogs, get rid of your own dogs and that will pursued the others not to come to your home as the scent will go away.

Either way your problem is now solved.

No, that doesn’t seem right, unless you requested, and paid for, the “retain your passport” option.
To the best of my knowledge the passport is retained by the local UKVI team in Bangkok, and when the decision has been made by the UKVI team in Delhi, they either print the visa vignette and insert it into the passport, or print the refusal letter, and in either case the passport is returned to Trendy in a sealed envelope.
    Good luck.

Ok thank you, that makes sense.

  8. Well I omitted few of the documents to save on translation costs and processing time and today the wife submitted the documents. It was our first time in the Trendy Building.

Wife was in the appointment area for about 40 minutes. UKVI staff informed her she would receive her passport back within 2 days and confirmation of Visa application results within 15 days. Do we have this right or wouldn't they just return the passport either with or without a visa document attached to it?

Im asking because now that we have submitted the application we need to visit her mother who is in hospital which means driving away from home and we might miss the postal delivery of the passport if it is returned back within the next 10 days.

What is the next step of the process, would the visa simply arrive applied in the passport?

Hi guys criticizing this post and the invention. What have you ever invented?

To criticize is easy and with the point of view of those who grew up in a country that provided everything you needed without having to look for it's absolutely incomprehensible.

If here just one single individual is hard working to find new approaches to an existing lack or a problem you don't know any better than to make it look stupid.

Before criticizing me due to an English that isn't perfect at all...what languages to you speak and write apart of English. Just saying.

    You must be new?
