Sounds to me these guys are Incompetent. There are many cloning tools, GHOST etc. Tell them to remove your HDD, do the cloning on a newer computer, a good computer shop will have new motherboards, RAM, CPU to connect the HDD and SSD

I see so many stories of drivers blaming the wet for their accidents. Apart from driver Incompetence, it's got to be the tyres. I see pickups with 150,000 kilometers on the speedometer with one set of tyres, these hard compound Truck tyres are not designed for wet roads, no grip.

An elderly foreigner driving a pickup had an accident not too long ago, hit and run. The cops found him, he apologized but unable to pay, if remember he had no money. I'd like to know the outcome on this issue. ????

It's true what you say about the Thais being worse as Thais way outnumber the foreigners. It is really weird to read regular reports about foreigners dying, it's one of the newest main roads in jomtien, ever since the road was open foreigners have made the media with their many deaths. They've made the road even more dangerous now. Roadworks, heading south just before soi Watboon, all southbound traffic has been diverted to the northbound lanes.

I tend not to meet people, no need to, not in business, just here relaxing and living the dream. I've been living here for decades, lots of friends and a large family, we keep to ourselves. I prefer not to meet new people, I find the people I meet these days (all nationalities) are best avoided.
