  1. Yes, this would be a good explanation. Just substitute the 'angel' for a Ghost or Ladyboy
  2. Useless video Good viewing for the gullible. It's because their food is delicious. ????
  3. Sadly, I'd be pretty confident in saying all these Asian counties affected 17 years ago would all be unprepared....... Unprepared for another Tsunami
  4. I'm a newbie.......... You are mixed up. Far from it. Bought my first house in 2001 here in pattaya, still here, my home, same place 20 years later. You didn't offend me, it's just your attitude, it brings people down, it's Christmas, enough with the doom and gloom, it's time to be merry and jolly ho, ho, ho and all that stuff. I get it, if you're here alone it would be difficult, I have my family here, but if you're alone it's because you chose to be. This Forum is turning into a soap opera with all the snowflake postings, bloody attention seekers.
  5. Careful mate. Your liver will rebel, it happened to me, I only have to drink a pint of beer now and it starts to pain. I'm trying to dry out for a while but Christmas/new year its a challenge
  6. Dude, you have problems, first your anxiety post regarding Thai beer now this depressing story. I don't understand why so many members post these negative thoughts, what's going on. Seems to be quite a few lately. You guys won't be happy whever you reside. There was a recent post (its still active) by a kiwi, living in NZ, he was missing Thailand. I gave him some pointers about relocating to SE Asia, then he replied saying his NZ pension wouldn't allow him to relocate. He's not even accountable for his failures, blaming the NZ bureaucrats because he can't relocate to Thailand, he would lose his pension, this is his own poor planning, why blame others? OMG, from the day I started working my parents told me, don't rely on the government pension, get a job, save for your future. I'm still in my 50s and will never see an Australian pension, due to my assets and the Australian government keep increasing the required age for the pension, the peanuts you get each fortnight you will only allow a monkey to survive. I can see people losing interest once they arrive here in Thailand because you need money to enjoy your life, going out to nice restaurants, maybe buying a car and motorcycle to visit places of interest, living in a condo/house to call home. It's crazy to come to Thailand, just renting a room above a bar in soi Buakao and getting drunk everyday, this is not a life, depression will set in then you'll question yourself, looking for answers, there's no hope for those without a plan, before feeling sad and sorry for yourself have a plan in place. If it's not doable then don't do it. Thailand is so beautiful, so dynamic, so many smiling faces, lovely parks and beaches, awesome weather. The affordability is amazing, so cheap but it's still difficult on an Australian/NZ pension, we're all nearing the end of your journey in life, it should be enjoyed, posting sadness, wanting others to feel sorry for you. Geeze, it's Christmas, if you're home sick get back to where you come from and be miserable. Relocating to Thailand is not for everyone.
  7. Yes, the old Chang Beer 6.9% but there was never any consistancy, one bottle could be 6.9 the next 12%. Sometimes it was like drinking a bottle of wine.
  8. What are you talking about, I'm not a troll, what you described are covid symptoms Get yourself tested for covid. It sounds like you've been infected
  9. Think we met in a small "restaurant" haha on Soi Post Office the other night? That or another guy with exact same name you use here. I was drinking Leo on ice. ???? You believed the guy you met in soi post office? I thought you were Skeptic...al ????
  10. Get yourself tested for covid. It sounds like you've been infected.
  11. Agree. People have changed. I used to spend hours in bars drinking, talking to people but it's just too hard these days. People seem so depressed, wanting to talk about the negatives, glass half empty guys, moaning, whinging, whining, not for me. I started thinking I was the problem but I just don't have any dislikes or negativity, I'm the luckiest guy in the world living in the best place in the world. Too many places to see, things to do, I avoid making an effort to talk to people and very seldom spend time in bars these days, my liver thanks me.
  12. Forget the TV, I only turn on to watch the NRL or Bathurst, these days nothing worth watching. Brady Bunch, Mash, McHales Navy, Hogan's Heroes, Happy Days, all the good stuff Gone. Keep yourself occupied, I go to the gym daily and when closed due to covid I'd run everyday, I bought some weights and bicycle for home use, I've never been as fit and healthy, the weather is perfect for eating the delicious cheap fruit that are everywhere. You're a kiwi, I assume you have money, money is the key, when it's gone it's time to 'get off' as you mentioned. Get yourself to SE Asia, so many beaches, things to do, places to see, girls to meet, beer to drink. There's nothing better than riding around on your motorbike looking at the sexy, petite young ladies riding their scooters, it's always a bonus riding behind smelling the sweet fragrances. I'm in heaven. If you're depressed, sell up, toss the job in, get out of your horrible environment. It's not expensive to live SE Asia, I've worked and trained in Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, traveled to Cambodia and Laos, keep away from Singapore, I lived there for some time, I was lucky my company paid Per diem so it was manageable. I found Thailand to be best for me, affordability, people, life style. I like to travel around Thailand, it an amazing country, from Bangkok to the hills of Chang Mai, I'm living in Pattaya because I've always liked to live near the sea, Thailand, it's so dynamic, I am so lucky. Now my children are older and work has come to a standstill with covid I just take off for a week or two at times, hotels cheap as chips. I left Australia over 20 years ago, never been happier, here with my family, eldest child going to Bangkok University next year. I've only been back to Oz when my company sends me to get work visas for different countries, the way things are going I will probably never go back to Oz, no need, all my friends and family come to Thailand to visit us.
  13. In NZ No wonder you're miserable. Get yourself over to Thailand. Problems solved.
  14. It's another Ice Age The last glacial period began about 100,000 years ago and lasted until 25,000 years ago.
  15. It would have been a good idea for your wife to give you a heads up on the 'dos and don'ts' before the visit. Anyway lessons learnt. Good idea to include this topic in your family's next training schedule. Geeze, bloody rediculous getting attacked for such a petty thing.
  16. I made a comment saying it was poor parenting, you gave me a sad face. Is this mockery? What would you like me to say in my comment? What an outstanding mother she has.
  17. Bloody Fish, copulating in the bottled drinking water. What else is in that bottle?
  18. WORK Forced retirement due to covid I'd love to go back to work, covid is killing me. I work abroad on a 28/28 day rotation, it's the best life for me. I have family here but too much of a good thing, I need to go back to work. I was hoping to be back at work in the new year but now we have a new variant (Omicron) which means longer quarantine, it's all gone pear shaped. Quarantine, it's not an option, I get 4 weeks off work to spend 1or 2 weeks in quarantine plus all the necessary paperwork, nope. Thailand has been my home for over 20 years but I like to have a break now and again, now my liver is even complaining.
  19. Oh dear, looks like he has motorbike issues. Needs to repair the Honda Wave
  20. Delivery has never been a problem for me. I've always paid by card so they deliver regardless. I always get a call from the delivery person, sometimes I answer, sometimes I don't but they always know to deliver my item. If I answer the phone I say put inside (this makes them happy because they is no waiting for signatures etc), they put the parcel in my front yard. I live in a house, gated village, this system would not work if you're in a condo.
  21. Yep, agree. My pool is much better, can accommodate myself and 2 lovely lady friends. It has the morning sun and beautiful shady trees for afternoon dips. Esky full of cold beers and some AC/DC on the stereo......... Happy Days 275951011_beautifuloutdoorbath.mp4
