  1. That's right, thanks My kids call them Lam Yai ลำไย
  2. Make sure you use the same email address you gave when you got the jab. I was adding another email address and kept getting a 9999 error message
  3. I reckon it's a case of pilot incompetence, poor training, lacking required skill set. I read he broke both legs, do these guy's get training in safe ejection? Get him a desk job. Wearing the correct PPE, I'm sure these jets are designed and pilots trained to keep flying without windscreen and some blood splatter. So many times we read about the pilots of commercial aircraft being hit by birds breaking windscreens, these heroes, safety landing the aircraft. The jet is the size of a bus, it's difficult to understand how a bird can bring it down. What a shame, such a beautiful aircraft destroyed.
  4. OK I understood that all sections with red asterisk had to be filled in and passport page was one Good luck
  5. I entered 11th December I read any date after +3days
  6. I read it's very good for the liver. Can you buy it in pattaya?
  7. We all know that a flock of birds can bring down a plane, but this article reads 'a large bird'. Sounds extremely unlucky if that's the case Must have been big bird
  8. Yes, sadly poorly designed roads are common in Thailand. There's a short cut to Pratumnak from my House, bypasses Theprasit and 3rd roads. Going to Pratumnak is straight forward but going home the turn right at the top of Theppraya is around 30 meters short of soi 15 junction. Poor design and poor understanding of the Thais and their obeying road rules. The road designers are trying to discourage the right turns at this soi 15 junction to improve road safety, what they should do is block this opening between soi 15 and traffic lights so you can't travel on the wrong side of the road. I rarely go home this way, I normally use Theprasit but I was in a hurry and it was early, before 8am. There was not much traffic, just the 1 cop on the road. I understand why the Thais break the law and drive on the wrong side of the road, a possible 100 baht fine, it's worth the risk. Not me, the cop was angry with me, I won't be riding wrong side again.
  9. I use mobile data, no problem. I've been using Bangkok bank and Kasikorn bank but tried Rabbit Line pay recently. 5 baht commission but I pay 4 bills per month, 5 baht total..... cheap
  10. Lots of good replies from members Walking away is not the solution, You will sell your condo with little effort, keep us in the loop, lots of members here cashed up that can help you sell it. Where is the condo located? When do you plan to come back to Thailand?
  11. Yep, I've been living in the same MooBaan for 20 years. After the initial 5 years upfront payment to the developer things went bad. We had the stickers on bins going etc but like you said people wouldn't pay, there was even talk of filling the communal swimming pool in. A couple of years ago we formed a new committee of 4, one of the ladies is so aggressive, she gets them to pay up, we now only have 1 or 2 owners that don't pay, this same lady has done so many improvements, the village looks so much better than the day I bought the house.
  12. Covid has stopped me from working abroad so I've been drinking a little too much booze lately. My liver has been giving me pain so I tried kratom, same thing, liver pains. Anybody tried Karva? Can you buy in Thailand? I heard it's liver friendly.
  13. That's what the cop said to me Are you working for the BiB
  14. Yep, totally agree. Some people are born miserable, always moaning, whinging, whining. I reckon a number of the negative comments on this forum are coming from these people, some are the re-pats from Thailand, still miserable after leaving this beautiful country
  15. It was around 8am, I reckon he travels that road everyday on his way from pattaya police station to jomtien location, he sees Thais breaking the law everyday and he does nothing, he sees me and gets lucky. He was concerned that the muffler wasn't original. Anyway 200 baht fine, I was expecting 2000 baht
  16. It's the wife's bike I'll check with her
  17. The bike is my wife's, she used it at her shop for the staff to ride, no staff so I ride it occasionally, keep the battery charged. It's an older bike and the original pipe fell off, it needed replacing. Just had one of the local bike shops fit it. It's not loud just not original. He made me start it up. The cop said it had to be original He checked 2 boxes, so I was expecting 2 fines to pay.
  18. I got stopped by a cop riding his Honda pcx, sounding his horn, waving his arm. He booked me for riding on the wrong side of the road and non original exhaust pipe, he told me I needed to change to original (will this be noted on next year's roadworthy inspection) OK, when in Rome, I know I shouldn't have and won't break the law again but read on. I took my ticket to pay at the police station, I thought I'd be paying around 2000 baht. I gave the officer behind the window my ticket, he entered the bar code number and asked for 200 baht. I paid, he gave me the receipt. I'm in shock. Anyone else with similar experience, I read fines had increased, I thought both infringements would be 1000 baht each BTW, the pcx cop gave my license back, things have changed, back in the day he would have kept it and I'd be picking it up at the police station.
  19. Don't do it Just too many things that can go wrong for a newbie
