When I moved to the neighbourhood a few decades ago these nightclubs were not there but over the years nightclubs like Xzyte and others closed down and these clubs moved in. My posting does come across as if I have a drinking problem but I work offshore on rotation, I only drink for my 28 days off. I have a big family, I don't have many friends (Thai or foreign), but the friends I have are of quality and are good people. I think the negativity on AN forums regarding members having Thai male friends maybe because most members here may only know the uneducated Somchai's. I've worked with many Thai's (male and female) offshore Songkhla and in Singapore, I have only good, positive comments for these people.

On my time off work, A few times a month I wake up early, have breakfast then after the Mrs and the kids head off to school, around 7am, I'll go down to the local Thai shop and drink a few beers with my Thai friends, most of the guys work night shift, Bolt drivers. There's a stretch of road (soi Kophai/Bonkot), just a short drive from home that has a handful of nightclubs that close-down around 9am. You are always guaranteed to see something you've never seen before, where I sit is great entertainment amongst great company. This happens occasionally so I thought I'd take a video because I've told the guys that I work offshore with and they didn't believe me. Looking at the video You see the cops drive by, not stopping, happens occasionally 8am weekdays. 😂 Look at my friends, helping this young woman, wouldn't happen in Australia. I've travelled to over 40 countries, worked many of these countries, the Thai people are the friendliest, good natured, nicest people I've ever met.
