As far as Govt hospitals I’ve gone monthly (check ups) for 2+ years and had one operation. All around the service and facility are nothing to complain about. The operating/recovery area is very modern. … No complaints at all at Udon Thani.

I only need the power of attorney notarized at US Consulate Bangkok. Need 2 witnesses due to Florida requirement at the time. Brought my Thai door neighbor as a witness he doesn’t speak English other than yes no simple words. I didn’t get an appointment for him. At sign in guard desk told them he’s witnessing a document. When Thai witness signed the officer said I couldn’t help him… Sent the notarized POA to sister and lawyer wouldn’t except because only one witness and needed two. The Florida statue says the person notarizing document as notary (not witness) signature is acceptable as witness. Hopefully your state is not one of the painful ones.

Yes. Sold house @ 5 years ago. I’m in Thailand and my sister in had power of attorney to save from me flying to US. Paperwork had to be notarized . Asked if Thai notary was acceptable which was t and had to go to US Consulate Bangkok I’m in Udon Thani province. As mentioned early States have different requirements for power of attorney notary. Check your state on internet to be sure. The consulate appointments were long waits. Luckily I looked on Citizen Services and found email address explained my situation and a kind person got me in the next week…. Good luck once notarized it was smooth sailing.. Be sure to take note of number of witnesses required…..

There’s organized beggars in many parts of the world… I’ve seen first hand in US and Mexico. Unfortunately it makes it difficult for those that need the help to eat. Offering to buy food instead of giving money helps weed out some in for profit beggars… because they want money not food…
