Wow, someone starts a topic, where to buy cole slaw. It comes down to 'how to make cole slaw. If that is not enough, now it's how to make your own mayo..........?
Next...... 'how to grow organic cabbage'
So you would prefer posters just replying "No" or ignoring the thread???
I have learnt something from it as maybe others have too...

I wonder if they take it in turns to "squeal like a pig"...??

I suspect 'mayo' used by KFC etc etc is made in big bulke with added chemicals and loaded with preservatives to keep it fresh forever.
I suspect that maybe there might be a slight chance that you could be suggesting something that could be a possibility.......

Nothing wrong with a nice carrot-raisin-Apple salad either
haha I was going to try apple cider vinegar or pineapple vinegar instead of malt in your coleslaw recipe - I am stuck for choice now!!!

Equal quantities of shredded cabbage, carrot and onion.
Mayo, dash of malt vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and a dollop of mustard.
Mix and refrigerate. Keeps for around a week.
Excellent - Thanks!
What brand mayo do you use..????
-
Maybe it's because Mayo is difficult to keep "fresh" in Thailand...
Unless I bought the ingredients myself and kept it in the fridge I wouldn't touch coleslaw here.......

Maybe you are onto something here..
Re-brand and repackage, and sell it as cooking sauce.....
I'll be on the sauce straight away..!!!

The real culprit would be the Lao Khao and Rum/'Thai Whisky' distilleries that would lose out if these alcohol 'sin tax' is applied rationally, like per % of the alcohol content.
Going the same way as Carlsberg - probably....
Make way for Cassen Cleek boxed wine coming your way soon!!!!

Under the circumstances, I'd say the wording choice in the headline of "bang them to rights" probably lends a different connotation than what might have been intended -- or, maybe not...
I think they meant:-
""Find the "Naked Lads Gang" and bang them too right?""

Hello
In big C, Makro and Fooland there is a wine called Laughing Bird...
Appeared 2 months ago.. 419 bahts for a 1.5 L glass bottle..
Not bad.. Now gone to 469
Have a nice day
Tesco Lotus Soi Buakhao still has it labelled 419 this morning .... but that doesn't guarantee that the till will say 419 when you go to pay of course.....

I think some people need to read the above in the OP instead of reading only the topic title.
So what is the question - I'm confused?

Good thing you can still go out and eat dinner for two, with two glasses of good wine each, at a fancy restaurant for less than 3 000,- baht. Somtimes more, but the price in restaurants for wine is often the same as in the shops. Even if you brake it down to glass prices and not a bottle.
I guess we just have to suck it up, or move to France ?
I have yet to visit my favourite eating places to see what effect it has had on the prices of wine ... Perhaps because 2 of them have closed down....

You know how you have to pop the panel on boxes of wine JJ to get to the tap ?
A chap I know who has never bothered with wine since got his Thai Wife to open it . She used scissors . I think he drank that in 2 days.
All these wonderful comments today has inspired me to get family members to bring out a bottle of Denbies Rose Hill Rose ( the last Rose should rhyme with Jose ). Biggest vineyard in England.
OMG!!! What amateurs!!
Turn it upside down, gently press with two fingers and it opens easily. The bag fits in a motorcy perfectly!!
I am of course refering to a box of Mont Clair not your wife...

Oh gawd JJ , Full bodied red with just a hint of prawn ! I think I would rather have mulled Chang.
Imagine - if you dare! - a Full bodied red man sticking his head into the ripped bag trying to drink as much as he can - OBVIOUSLY just to keep the floor clean that is....

Those days are coming to an end. This is old stock and once it's gone there will be no more.
In the future when they restock it will be about the same price for a 3 liter box.
Thanks...I hadn't thought about it that way.

otherwise, all in the fridge.
I realize that I am the stupidest person on the forum and that none of you would ever do this but just in case you have imbecilic visitors or in-laws from the planet Zarg here is a warning......
If you take the bag out of the box to put in the fridge do not try to put it above whole prawns by sliding it in and ripping the guts out of the bag from the sharp spiky bits......

I have read that an unopened box of wine has a shelf life of only one year. Can anybody verify this???
My old stock Mont Clair MFD is Sept '17 so I'm thinking of buying a few in..At 1005 a box it is surely worth it financially but will I be able to resist temptation..??
Also if it is only one year, there will be quite a large wine lake in Thailand Songkran next year!!
