Travel north to Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai. Hire a scooter and go up into the mountains.
I promise you won't be bored - you'll be too busy trying to stay alive.
Very true

As I didn't know it nor trust it, I did it incrementally, starting with $100 US and I my last transfer was $5,000. Everything went without a hitch and it was MUCH less expensive than any other method I looked into. In a similar event, I had a recent Chrome hack on my desktop and the thieves tried nabbing ฿80,000 baht from a US account using TransferWise. TransferWise support was spot on and no harm was done. I continue to use them for monthly expenses. In my experience they get a "two thumbs up."
friend of mine uses TW from Uk to Thailand, he has had no problems

no matter which country's driving laws/attitudes are used NOTHING will reduce accidnts here in Thailand..
Reduction has to start with being TAUGHT correctly in the first place....at a young age.
I learnt the rules of the road by riding bicycles, never had a motorbike.
Started driving motor vehicle when 17 and am still driving cars now...

I separate my own trash for recycling, apart from that I wouldn't lift a little finger to help the Thais clean up the trash heap they call a countryside/beach side. They don't care, so neither do I.
true....I would NOT clear up crap left by other people. Is there NOT a cleansing department here??
If there is then they should do it....

Depending on requirement I have used a Pattaya based registered local notary for certifying my UK passport. This was for UK banks / UK pension life certificate / legal cases. All accepted with no problem. Only Bt500 per page and fast service.
Euro Thai Law, opposite side entrance to Big C off Suk / South Pattaya.
so if one has a 48 paged passport this is 500 X 48 equals 24,000 baht.....a new passport only costs around 6,400 baht...there is something wrong with your comment !!!!

I am curious about the reason/origins for pointing and photographs being published in the Thai press.
What happens if the "accused" is found not guilty? Can they sue for breach of privacy or defamation??
great question.....

Try calling them and ask them to waiver the fee.
I use TMB, UOB and SCB and never pay fees.
they would not do....lady in bank said that if I not get new card.....then to get money I would have to go to bank with passbook and receive money that way...
But with so many atms around it is very easy to get money from one, so I PAID for a new visa card......

Yes , you need to do TM30 reports, in line with your local office requirements. Owning a property does not change the reporting requirements. You are the owner/housemaster and report yourself as the alien.
not true at all.....

Personally, as a long term owner of my property, I have not been required to submit a TM30 at Jomtiem, and no repercussions when attending immigration for whatever reason.
The rule, in reality, is you should submit a TM30 within 24 hours when you return to your residence. IE A after a trip out of town.
For myself, I wait for them to tell me I have to do it!
For you, perhaps if you mentioned which immigration office you use, someone here will relate their experiences and knowledge of how that IO applies things.
I registered my address ONCE and have signed in to do 90 day report at Jomtien many times over the years. NEVER HAD a problem......

It depends on the bank, and on how long ago you opened the account. You probably agreed to an annual charge when you opened the account. Somewhere in the order of B 150 - 250/yr.
I was charged 400 baht for NEW visa card....last week....kassikorn bank....

Wouldn't rule it out completely in the land of sleeping drivers....although this accident obviously wasn't his fault.
so who's fault is it??
I would think that ALL big truck drivers carrying containers SHOULD have to check that the container is LOCKED on the back of the arctic??
