I think this fit-to-fly document is not a proof that you are Covid-19 free. It’s rather a document to testify that you have no visible symptoms of a Covid-19 infection.
Like a pregnant woman needs a letter from her doctor that confirms that she is in good health if she wants to fly after the 28th week of pregnancy.

Here is a copy and paste from a post from xn47140

Asked the Thai Embassy in Berlin about the rules for entry to Thailand if married to a Thai. Here's the answer translated with Google:

"we received a new order from Thailand on Friday. People who are married to a Thai citizen can apply for a special permit to enter Thailand. The following documents must be sent in advance to the Thai embassy by email:

    - Copy of the passport (first page with the photo)

    - Copy of the passport (first page with the photo) of the Thai spouse

    - Copy of visa and re-entry permit for Thailand

    - Copy of the marriage certificate - Medical certificate for a negative test for Covid-19

    - Fit-to-Fly airworthiness certificate

    - Proof of overseas health insurance that includes treatment for COVID-19 in Thailand equivalent to at least $ 100,000

    - Copy of the flight confirmation

    - Proof of confirmed quarantine stay (hotel booking):

When entering the Kingdom, non-Thai nationals must undergo a 14-day quarantine at a state quarantine facility at their own expense. The quarantine may only take place in the following hotels:

    1. Mövenpick Wellnes BDMS Resort Hotel

    2. Qiu Hotel Sukhumvit

    3. The Idle Residence

    4. Grand Richmond Hotel

    5. Royal Benja Hotel

    6. Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel

    7. Grande Centerpoint Hotel Sukhumvit

At www.hsscovid.com you will find the hotels selected for quarantine and further information

    - The completed declaration form The documents will be forwarded to the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs for approval. In the event of approval, the Thai embassy will contact the applicant. The applicant speaks personally to the embassy within 72 hours before the flight date and submits the following documents:

    - Medical certificate for a negative test on Covid-19 (not older than 72 hours before departure)

    - Fit-to-Fly certificate of fitness to fly (not older than 72 hours before departure)

The Thai embassy then issues a certificate of entry. You can also apply for a special permit to enter Thailand at the Consulate General in Frankfurt and the Consulate General in Munich. Please note that the medical certificate and the airworthiness certificate must be submitted twice. In the event of approval, these two certificates, issued within 72 hours before the flight date, must be submitted again in person to the embassy.

We recommend that you submit the application to a consulate in your area, based on the short-term personal consultation before the departure date.

Best regards Visa section of the Royal Thai Embassy Lepsiusstr. 64-66 12163 Berlin Tel. 030 79481117 (telephone information Mon - Fri from 2.30 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.) Fax 030 79481118 [email protected]"

Well here is the big problem we have in constructive debate. Fauci and WHO lied about masks to ensure masks for health care professionals, but it is problematic posting alternative viewpoints contradicting them for one will be considered anti-science or a conspiracy theorist and censored on social media platforms. Who knows what other falsehoods we have been told to believe? Part of the reason for the huge epidemic in the US that is making Americans radioactive now is the distrust in official sources that has led to an inability of people of different viewpoints to work together in America anymore.

This video should be allowed to stand since Jimmy Dore is officially allowed by youtube to post about covid and is currently monetized there when doing so, but maybe not.

Take a look a James Corbett's recent piece on "fact checking the fact checkers" at the Corbett report. He's on top of the current, as Orwell put it, Doublethink... because Ignorance is strength! Right. Another 1984 book reference.

I'll be on a flight end of the year before Xmas for 6 weeks with Mrs and daughter. Direct flights with BA already booked. Got some quotes for insurance for all three of us. 15 months insurance that covers Covid = £150. Cheap enough.

What kind of insurance is this that covers 3 people for 15 months that qualifies in Thailand? Some form of travel insurance... provide a link please.

    What have you been quoted?

I was paying $700.00 for the year with an IMG policy that excluded the U.S. It was a high deductible ($5000.00) policy that I had simply as a "catastrophic" plan, as I am very healthy and don't use insurance. That policy ended in April. I suspect it will be similar in price should I re-instate the same plan. I haven't re-contacted them yet, so no idea if there are any changes due to the Covid situation.

I will be able to go back to Thailand when they end the quarantine requirement. I work in the UK but my wife and home are in Thailand. I normally go home every 8 weeks for 2 weeks. It is not possible for me to take more than 2 weeks off work at a time and it would be pointless spending that time in quarantine. Then there's the cost - around 45,000 for an ASQ hotel + testing +++. I'm getting quite high quotes for the $100,000 US health insurance etc. etc. - all these things make trips home impossible. I can't pay that much everytime I travel and in any case, that money would be better spent on my wife/family.

For now, the decision has been made that my wife will visit me.  As far as I know she will have to do 2 weeks quarantine when she goes back to Thailand but that will be free.  I wonder if they will honour that for people that have left Thailand intentionally?

The recent announcements that those married to a Thai, those with PR and those with work permits will be allowed back are good news for them but totally useless for me and thousands of others.  At one point I thought it would be September before I'm allowed back - now I doubt it will be this year.

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you. I have not researched insurance yet. I have to believe that as we get into July and August, some more definitive rules will shake out. I was looking at October.

  6. I know many of you will certainly share YOUR clairvoyance on this... please do.

    Looking into MY crystal ball...
    .
To me it is looking like those with work permits, working professionals, people attending international business meetings (business in general), and medical seekers, will get a 14 day quarantine and are going to be the first let back in...  July/August. I'm seeing, now that "travel bubbles" will start to emerge in late August and will be from the southeast/asian countries and maybe a few middle east, this time period could begin to see others like the PR (permanent residence) holders allowed next. Beyond that it is anyone's guess and will likely be determined on the continued assessments of the Covid numbers. If the numbers stay stable and do not increase significantly, I will speculate the best case scenario will be September for the myriad of Non-immigrant O (other) visa qualifiers, those that qualify for marriage and retirement visas, Thai Elite VISA holders etc., then tourists in October. Maybe it's time to book that long overdue dental appointment? Tells you a lot about Thai motivations for letting people back in, business interests first, then those with cash for things like "MT" medical tourist. Those being let in first are clear financial motives. And has been publicly stated elsewhere that wealthy tourists (quality not quantity) maybe the next tourism scheme to success moving forward? To be expected I guess? When do you think you will be able to return?

The overseas Thai embassies and consulates are already accepting applications from foreigners with Thai spouses to re-enter Thailand with exactly the same criteria as WP holders.

Don't forget that if you obtain your VISA too early, it may run out too quickly. In my case, as a U.S. passport holder, I can obtain the standard 90 day Non-Immigrant O based upon marriage to my Thai wife. But the moment they put that approval stamp in your passport the clock starts ticking. Let's say you get your VISA back in the mail from the consulate at the end of July, then the international flight finally opens up the first of October, you now only have 30 days left on your VISA.

Please define which authorities you consider "so-called". I am very curious.

Its people like this, and the guy over in England who was responsible for the millions of dead computer model that erroneously scared the hell out of everyone unnecessarily. I'll let this guy articulate the issue and respond best for me... that is as long as the TV Ministry of Truth will allow me to post this.

but my guess is something like two years.

I have to believe, maybe just want to believe, that a solution will be presented before the end of the year. My prediction is American's will be able to come back, with an insurance requirement and some form of combined or separate requirement for pre-covid testing and/or 14 day quarantine/covid testing on arrival.

  10. Remember when the MSM came out... TESTING! TESTING! TESTING!

If you aggressively test a virus... oh let us say the flu virus...guess what you get lots of positives.

If you don't test aggressively, you don't get lots of positives... Funny how that works.

IMO, when you don't really have a true health emergency going on, meaning, this C Virus never actually required the draconian measures that were put in place, and you don't have an ulterior motive to want to artificially inflate your countries numbers, then you take the no wide-spread testing approach.

    Well done! Thailand.

And for those of you who will comment that you think this really is an emergency, honestly ask yourself, or ask anyone else, was there ever a time when the emergency rooms, the ICU's were full of dying pandemic related patients? Hmm... were there?
