Went to him once ,that was enoughFirst experience of Dr Oliver was via my wife going to him with a minor ailment. She came away with a bag of about half a dozen medications - ibuprofen, paracetamol, antibiotics, antiseptic cream etc. I wasn't too impressed.
I have not so far encountered a GP of the sort the OP is looking for...

Yes but we integrate, marry Thai women ,have children and dont make them convert to Christianity, and dont insist that they make all meat Christian in the schools ,the list goes onAll I can say is that in my old R and R location, the population had a very small western population 49 years ago. The locals dressed like locals of their race.
There were some Christian and muslims but they did not outnumber the local population. There were no bars and no loudmouthed rude and drunk "foreigners"
There was no easy young girls, everyone was a traditional person.
Now, it looks like another country. Everyone wears cheap western casual clothes or sexy outfits that would have had the original population outraged.
Now Pattaya is full of bigoted and racist yobbo's and a traditional local would stick out like a sore thumb.

I do not wish to divulge which town i come from if you dont like that then tough. You don’t even know the town he’s referring to but you declare ‘he’s right in this case.’That’s some kind of special logic.
Or it could be bias.

Racist posts? Dont make me laugh, truthful posts, shame that the truth hurts ,immegration in small numbers is a great thing ,but once the balance tips we see the problems, and if you cannot see them in the Uk then,i do fear for a country where heads are buried deep in the sand ,by the way only Luton or East London has large immigrant areas, wow and there was me thinking places like Birmingham ,had immigrants as wellPossibly parts of Luton, or parts of East London?I don't generally support ivor bigun's racist posts, but he's right in this case.
Mind you, the yobs in some nearby areas were just as bad [emoji3525].

Sorry there was not a picture of someone with their head buried in the sandyes, many muslims live in the west and are active contributors to our diverse society.

All i can say is that my old home town in the UK had a small Muslim community 40 years ago when we went to live there they dressed like us ,there was a Christian and a Jewish meeting hall where they were, the shops sold pork and spirits, over the years more and more came ,they took over both the Christian and the Jewish halls, then the Mosque was built, now it looks like another country ,the women are covered up ,there is a boys and seperate girls school ,no shop in their areas would dare sell alchohol, advertizing is censored ,they have become a seperate race ,they do not mix and you would not go there at night.even in the day you would stick out like a sore thumb,You have evidence of that?
Australia has between 5 - 6% of the population that is muslim.
0. 00001 are on a watchlist as being Islamist. The majority are trying to get ahead.
But the odd idiot brings out the rednecks who condemn a whole race or a whole religion.
Just as Hitler did. Surely as a successful western democracy, we need not pour hatred out
to a very small population that is not Islamist. Just a minority religious group.
There are many more fundamental Christians that scare me as much as muslims.

In that case might as well go down the marriage visa routeFor those months you have to live like a married man on 400,000!

Up till now i have never even been asked where the money comes from just show my bank book with a bank letter saying the money has been in for 3 months,it has i dont use an agent, will they no longer allow this, but you will have to prove where it came from,?The "swifted" method should work OK. That is what I have been doing monthly since last December, and it shows up on my BKB account statement as a foreign transfer.
Unfortunately, my local office currently requires income used for a married-extension to be "pension income" only; I am not that old yet, so cannot use it. Maybe, by the time my next Non-O-ME Visa runs out, they will have changed their policy but, I doubt it - hurdles tend to increase, only. Eventually, if things continue as they are, they will narrow it down to the point where I can either pay them off through an agent, or abandon my family here.

What? So for the last 12 years or so i have either brought cash over ,got friends or relations to bring it and changed it when the pound is up ,transferwised, swifted it etc will no longer be accepted ?Some suggested declaring the funds at Thai customs, and obtaining a receipt. But this assumes the IO will not say, "Bank letter and statement showing 12x foreign-xfers accepted only."

Sorry if this sounds rude ,but are the children yours by msrriage,or your bialogical children and if yours by marriage are they legally adopted? Because it must make a difference at immigrationFrom my own experience yesterday (posted on another thread), they wanted
Copy of the marriage certificate.
Update of marriage registration certificate
Copy of my wifes' id
Copy of her housebook
Copies of the childrens birth certificates
Copies of the childrens Thai id
Copies of the childrens housebook registration
(The children are adults and don't live with us so it wasn't just a case of photo-copying an extra page in the wife's book)
Looking at that list I'm sure some people will wonder why I don't go down the retirement route and the answer is that I can see a time coming when retirement visas get much more difficult to obtain.
If that does happen, I can see a scenario whereby people on retirement visas try to change to marriage visas and then (given the mentality that I've encountered at the immigration office) the immigration officer asks why weren't they on a marriage visa from the start if they are really married followed by lots of hoop jumping.
(Maybe I just think too much)

I got mine just before you down in Pattaya,so the new rules had not even come out,i then took out 100k for expenses,as the rules only apply for new yearly visas after march 1st do not see why we cannot just go on as usual until our next ,and 1st extension under the new rules . By the way i intend to go down the marriage route as i have been married over 20 years. On the 28.01.2019 I received my yearly Visa Extension based on Retirement with expiry date 26.02.2020 using the minimum 800000 THB in my Bangkok Bank account for the previous 3 months without any problems at all from Udonthani Immigration Office which has been the case for all previous extensions and they have always been very helpful. After receiving this I then booked a holiday in the UK, bought Health Insurance for my Thai wife and myself and let the amount drop to approx 470000 THB which I normally do.
To my great shock after reading on Thai Visa I read about the new requirements from Visa Extensions based on Retirement starting 01.03.2019 stating that the money in the bank must not drop below 800000 for the first 3 months after being granted permission; myself and my wife then went back to Udonthani Immigration for clarification as to whether the new rules apply to extensions issued before 01.03.2019. We spoke to the Boss at Udonthani Immigration Office about this however at the time he was unable to provide any clarification at all regarding the new Rules.
Based on what has now happened I will now not let my money in the bank drop below 400000 and will get it above 800000 as soon as possible and never let it drop below this value in the future.
I sincerely hope I do not have to do a Visa Extension based on Marriage next year as I have done several times before due to the hassle and long waiting time.
Has anybody had any similar experiences to my myself at Udonthani Immigration Office or other Immigration Offices.
Good luck to all future Applicants for Visa Extensions.

I just hope something will happen soon ,sick to death of it all, honestly i believe if it was actually up to the leaders of each individual country we would get a half way decent brexit.unfortunatly it isnt its up to the unelected snout in trough Brussels mob led by Junker and they are terrified that if we get a good brexit the gravy train will come off the rails as the others will want out as well.

Do you ever sleep? Lol
I loved this film, especially the nods to Tarantino; no clue why it gets such bad reviews when John Wick 1/2 (which I also loved) get showered with critical praise?

After speaking to quite a few of my friends who are married, have homes etc etc and have been here for years, all are on the "retirement" visa as its easier ,but nearly all are next time going down the marriage route,as am i ,lots more work for immegration offices ,more work for us as well, but then we are all retired and have plenty of time to do the extra paperwork etc.
Its not going to be fun time in immegration soon.
