The main problem is not being able to select the Win 10 Pro version, everytime I use the media creation tool it always sets the installation to win10 home single language, that's what I have been trying to explain, disk creation tool, download now update and/or upgrade it always defaults to the damn win10 home single language, that's why I got pissed and decided once and for all to format the drive and that may solve the problem
Ok sounds great and do appreciate the effort.... trying to access their BIOS to change from SATA to AHCI (Linux, Samsung quire that and my samsung drive can not update until I made that change) and can't do it, already started safe mode to be able to make changes and not possible.... I must be really bad or the brain not working anymore 555
the account is blocked on my kid outlook email address and it appears that's the main problem, every time I run update using different keys abd Win version it always defaults to the original digital key, I decide to remove/format the partion HD which is a Samsung SSD and create a clean HD, how do I do that that's my problem now as I gave up trying the different ways to activate upgrade.
HELP formatting the SSD drive is welcomed
have been trying different options without any success, the key I have didn't work, the key you provided didn't work , can't download the damn upgrade. The current Digital license on the Acer is a Win 10 Home Single Language installed from the store, the SSD internal HD is a Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB that is partioned, I don't like partitions (that's me no partitions) at this time I would like just delete reformat everything and start a clean install but how do I delete the partitions (Already back up everything) just want to format the 1 TB SSD
no I actually retrieved/have my original key, will try the upgrade both ways as it appears if going into the (Settings/system/activation) the screen has the option to change key and by doing so (per my neighbor) it should allow you to upgrade but I didn't try that yet, thanks to your feed back now I have 2 options, will let you know how it worked out, thks
didn't had time as the kid needed to finalize school tests, hopefully will have time this afternoon, thanks for the key, I had that key from a previous chat, last year, with a microsoft guy, do appreciate the thought thks
I did that 3 times and still shows home version and even try a win 11 key and it told me not acceptable. Will try the microsoft upgrade to 10 pro and no activation, will (try) activate later with the original 10 pro key, I think it would be the best option
I did retrieve the key from the pro version but the problem is that I don't have pro installed, however I do have the key, maybe will try to use Microsoft site install 10 pro without activation and activate later with old key hoping it will work, thanks for the feed back
