Market forces will dictate, if they sell junk that no wants to buy, they will eventually give up ! Generally people like idling through these flea markets, hunting for a bargain !

The major point is being missed here.

The fact is that most Thai's don't want to receive their proper number plates quickly - they want to drive on red plates for as long as possible! The reason's simple - everyone knows that if a car's got red plates then it's a new car and Thais want everyone to see they're driving a brand new car!

there are always bars selling alcohol during the holidays, just have a hunt around !

Pattayamail and Pattaya People both weekly, Pattaya Today every 2 weeks often the news is out of date by then.

Pattaya People is light on content as a lot of the pages are in thai, dutch, french etc.....

Shop on Pattaya Klang just before traffic lights has served me well for years, they even speak basic English ! 100 baht

Used to go there for the Sunday buffet but got pretty rowdy & noisey lunchtime with some football mob in there. Buffet itself was ok, except for the dodgy stuffing !

Tina Turner, I think his name is Tui is a bit of a Pattaya institution. Friends from UK visiting, old & young have always enjoyed the show.

judging by the OP's comments and experienes, the requirements for owning a business here aren't business experience just the purchase price !

in the end opted for MBE in Carrefour, easily accessible......

TMB wouldn't give me one without a Work Permit, despite sizeable evidence of assets in Thailand, and banking history over several years.

Kasikorn gave me one promptly, secured by a fixed term deposit account equivalent to my credit card limit.

I had a look in this building a year ago, and was disappointed, very tired looking. The carpets smelt, kitchen units looked on their last legs. Good location though.
