These Phuket posts always involve sleaze, or rip-offs by baht bus drivers. People in Phuket want to consider moving upmarket to a high class destination like Pattaya -

I have been told about one in the Jomtien area. Comming just past the arch heading towards Pattaya, go past shannagins bar, just on the left by a bar called hotlegs on the same side. Costs about 1000 bht per year. They call you on your mobile if any mail or parcels come for you. Plenty of farangs use it. Hope its helpful and not out of the way.

The only part of the description I would take exception to is reputation growing every year. It may be popular with tourists, but most expats seem to avoid for its horrific drinks pricing !, and gouging for subsequent drinks.

I saw some activity at Curries a few nights ago. Someone was doing something, maybe opening, maybe moving out. I thought it was rude to bother them; we'll see in the next few days.

I think the old Curries place in Soi LK is now re-invented as a Kebab shop - no idea though if the same people are involved .....

Sad story. Driving anywhere near South Pattaya in the early morning, you really want to have your wits about, there must be a lot of drink drivers, Thai or Farang.

A sad story, but not one that shocks me. The speed boats here do zip around with little regard to safety.

I don't see it matters, he hired the Baht Bus for an exclusive ride, 100 or 200 baht he should honour his agreement. It's not the driver's fault the customer hasn't researched the distances involved. However, that doesn't excuse the cowardly violence on the part of the driver.

I find it strange, and disappointing, people who pay for the language course, even if the Visa aspect is their primary motive, that they can't spare 3-4 hours each week to learn the language of the country they live in !!

I have had the Goldcyber version for about six months now, rarely exceed 1Mb/s, often drops to 200 kb/s in the afternoon. Sometimes service disappears completely and has been down for 1-3 days at a time. TTT is much the same. Good luck.

Same story my end. In addition when the service breaks down they can take days to send an engineer out.

I walked past 2 days ago, and enquired. On production of Thai driving licence they will let u in at Thai price. But i still hate the concept of double pricing.

I find TR in Pattaya very hit & miss.
