The OP became more racist as he droned on and on. I stopped reading his racist drivel when he seemed irked that he was allowed into Heathrow by a “Pakistani” (bet he wasn’t) immigration officer. I spent January in UK and saw none of the misery that the OP described but I guess that’s because I wasn’t looking for and hoping to find such misery as the UK hating OP.

There’s a pattern emerging here. It seems that the more aggressive posters have more problems with Bangkok taxi drivers. It comes down to attitude. I can honestly say that in 3 decades here I’ve never had a problem with taxi drivers, yes the occasional refusal but hey ho.

Never had a problem with meter taxis in Bangkok in 3 decades. I understand that there are some dodgy geezers out there but I also think that many of the perceived problems that AN posters have with taxis is their attitude towards the taxi drivers. My latest Bangkok taxi experience was last week from Silom Rd to BKK: clean metered taxi, jolly driver. Fare 315 baht!

In anticipation of the usual taxi bashing posts I’m happy to report that during a short break in Bangkok I used many taxis with only positive things to report. The icing on the cake was the metered taxi from Silom to BKK fare: 315 baht. Bargain!

So much hatred for someone who had no negative effect on your life. Sad.

Your “staggering “ statistics refer to a period when WFA was given to all pensioners when 40,800 pensioners died from the cold in 2014/2015. Fast forward to last winter when 4950 deaths were attributed to the cold yet the pensioners ( mostly) didn’t receive WFA. Hmm…..global warming is real.
