not be tracked
I thought the reason to register a mail is being able to track it. That´s what I do here in TH. I get the number, go to the website and can see where the thing is

How do you know he was 100% sure of that?
I agree. There´s no such as a 100% certainty...maybe "most likely" would be correct. And who was effective at terrorizing whom? I find it very hard to believe in the official versions of these stories

Each consisted of explosive material packed in a plastic pipe and wired to a small clock and a battery, Wray said.
All the bombs were intercepted before reaching their intended targets and without exploding, and no one has been hurt.
Thats what I´m asking myself. Why would someone send bombs to people where he can be 100% sure that none would get to it´s addressee, before beeing examinated??...and the small clock?? Does US Post deliver at the exact minute....second?? Or is there an other reason for the setup of the bombs?? (I´m not an expert in explosives)
Just reminds me of a number of incidents seen in the last 17 years

I´m asking because it seems that lately (Samui Times Oct. 18) there was a change of rules to get a Thai drivers licence. Now you have to take 5 hours in a driving school. That´s what the article said

Does anyone know if there is a driving scool on Koh Phangan? If not, where is one on Koh Samui?
Thanks

Probably find the gun was just a toy
Does that make any difference? ( I don´t know much about law) Is a bank-hold up with a toy gun different? Does the threatend one know it´s a toy?
Just came to my mind:
When a toy boy is robbing a toy store with a toy gun, fleeing the scene with the just stolen toy car is it a crime or just toying?

If you haven´t booked your bus and ferry ticket yet, you could take Lomprayah (highspeed ferry), they take 750 THB from Surat Airport to Samui, incl. transfer. The advantage of this is that they go to Nathon and bring you to any point on the island for an additional 150 THB. Lipa Noi - Fisherman`s is quite far.

Some more about the "Dream". Once I read an article, from a guy somewhere in South America in a bike-magazine. The title was "1 million km on my Honda Dream". The other story was about a guy who did a trip through SEA (including Thailand). With a super modern BMW ENDURO (can´t remember which one, but a big one). And as a westerner, of course, in full gear (got the image?). On one of his trips in Thailand he went off road up to a mountain (hill?) on one of the very steep, washed out dirt roads that we all know. So finally he made it to the top and felt like he just had conquered the world (the article was written by the guy himself and he apparently had a good sense of humour). Standing there and taking a rest, he heard the sound from a bell coming up the mountain. So he started to be courious about and waited. After a little while there came this old Thai gentleman on his old Honda Dream around the corner, driving it one handed, because he had to hold the box on the back of his bis bike, and asked him: "Ice cream, Sir??"

And, avocados make a great fruit dessert or drink. They wife loves them chilled and/or frozen with condensed milk or sweetened with sugar and ice into a smoothie. Of course, you could use honey as a sweetener to make it more healthy.
Popular in parts of India and Sri Lanka. The one I liked the most was a mix from Avocado, vanilla ice cream (not sure if there was also milk in it) and crushed ice blended together

Totally agree. This bike is , depending on what you´re looking for the ultimate "solution". It´ll run forever if taken care of.

If you are doubtful about the right amount (money), why not give her a nice variety of fruit. Just to say thank you. Quite inoffensive I think. My Thai wife does that a lot with fruit/vegetables from our garden and no one ever felt offended

But you have to bring your x to sign or you have a signed copy of her ID and her sig. on two other forms (forgot the name) and of course your certificate of residence (or house book, work permit etc.). I know that was not your question, I mention it because these details are essential and I had a problem with that before. Best you ask your local Transport Office about their requirements

The SH 150 is quite different to the other ones. It was originally designed for the European market (Italy). Therefore it´s a bit higher than the Click. 16" wheels. Thai people don`t buy it. It wasn´t a succsess here. Advantage: higher (depending on your height), stronger frame, afaik japanese built, cheaper than a PCX when second hand. Disadvantage: expensive when new ( approx. 99.000 THB), difficult to sell, no side stand (can be modified possibly). Good bike but more like something you buy second hand at a good price to keep it rather than have something to buy and sell

US man claims he was denied entry to Thailand because of the the color of his skin

I actually do know this guy personally. Not a close friend but we met several times. Very nice guy indeed. Maybe a little bit cracy but nice. Inoffensive. His style might be exaggerated in some peoples eyes, but the clothes and stuff he´s wearing is quite pricey. So no money issues. No hang around hippy. Understanding the point that his looks might not be comprehensible to some officers and alike, but he always (with variation in "decoration") looks like this (including skin colour) and that should not be a reason for denying entry to anyone. IMO.(if it was all about that,.. don´t know) Reminds me in some ways of the early 1980´s when people that brought illegal stuff from India and elsewhere into Thailand, in their taylor made silk-suits, complete addicts (with suits on) to fool officals. For some it worked out... maybe. I would be much more scared seeing the offical delegation from IBM (or else) arriving in their business-uniforms.....that´s a good reason to be concerned of what´s coming into the country
