I have seen what 2 lbs will do..1 lb will demolish a vehicle....100 meters is not enough...try 500 meters behind a 15 ft berm. It will rick your world. Surprised windows weren’t blown out. Top it off alcohol and poor choices ended a wonderful life. This was avoidable just like the senseless thai driving habits that kill so many. Oh well, I guess keep it up! RiP, my condolences to everyone’s loss...

Based on shycoconuts evaluation, I’ll just clip a few kids, give’m a wai and 500 bht then keep driving. See how that works out when I do it to your kid...I’m sure I’ll have no problems renewing my visa here.

No one died, the kid got a cut lip, bruised leg and 500 baht.
Your right, it’s no biggie....just a kid getting hit by a car and at least he made 500bht...I like the way you think. I am over reacting. No one died...happy new year to ya.

I spent an hour today trying to do my 90 day report online. Downloaded and installed various browsers, tried the android app - all to no avail. So frustrating. Now it's a 3 hour round trip to the office.
It’s painful reasons such as your experiences and worse than that, in addition to all the other hell like immigration antics that make water boarding better than immigration...many expats are fed up. So sorry to hear what you had to endure, I’m seriously looking at a path of less resistance by considering other Asian countries.

Perhaps Thailand could ease up on their visa immigration xenophobia may help...also stop the 90 day reporting along with ridiculous deposits required all year long.

Another example of normalcy here...i am numb to all of it now. Just an everyday event. Expect when you go near a road you will die, just life in the land of smiles.

The World Health Organisation in 2018 ranked Thailand the worst among 175 countries in terms of deaths and injuries in road accidents.
And there you have it, better than stats but real words describing how deadly Thailands roads are...moreover, nothing is EVER done to stop it though they can. So sad and unnecessary THai and others die a senseless death.

Thank god we have a country and a president that can do what others will not do. Good hit, another useless individual removed (black listed) permanently from the gene pool.
Freedom is NOT free.

it's the way life is in thailand, take it or leave it deal.

CharlieH's advice was the BEST. I would remove myself, get away as far as possible. Good luck if you decide to stay.

its hilarious...besides, .if people really wanted and cared about this planet they would do a better job saving it than destroying it - nobody really cares...action speaks louder than words.

Unfortunately, it's the US that pays the price. Over $1 trillion for the war in the first decade of this century. God knows how much has been shuffled in since 2010.

I have the mandatory thai visa medical insurance, it will save me if I or anyone should need treatment.

Absolutely it's visa. Impossible to stay here, but it's also more than just one BIG nail in the coffin, ie, insurance, xenophobia, deadly roads, etc...

RIP. Anyone interested in starting a go fund to support his fiancé and funeral arrangements I’ll chip in.

Thai roads = guaranteed to meet your maker...enjoy your time here however short it is.

...and that is why I watch the experts do it and far away. Compacted pressurized and sealed gun powder....not a good outcome.

Nonsense. It has been said many times, and quoted on this forum, that all fatalities are included in the gross yearly total yet people still peddle the above myth.
Curious to know how the author of the alleged statistics actually found the numbers used if they aren't actually published. Just a guess, I guess.
The thailands hight rate of fatalities to the loved ones may not be considered as nonesene...
