  2. During my time in Thailand I had two vehicles and they both had to have their first MOT checks for tax renewal after 7 (SEVEN) years i.e. from their 8th "birthday", then annually.
  3. Living in Siem Reap, I presume you mean in Thailand??? No problem in Cambodia, it is a main road.

  5. What about school children who have to use a pedal cycle to get to school?? Here in Siem Reap (Cambodia) many pupils and students wear them.   6. When I lived in Thailand pre Covid-19, I used to show my Thai Driving License when sending mail from my local post office.

  9. With respect, may I suggest continuing to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai or Khon Kaen. The budget airline Thai VietJet offers inexpensive tickets from BKK to these resorts. Personally, I found Bangkok a busy, polluted "concrete jungle" and Phuket an expensive "rip off" resort.
  10. I had the choice of mountains. lakes, rivers and forests. No beaches in Lanna as I had no interest at all in sun, sea, sand and palm trees!

  14. Yes indeed. I used to beep beep when driving past roadside temples, especially those with special ornate shrines dedicated to the many road traffic victims at accident "black spot areas' among the mountains of Northern Thailand where I used to live. For me it was a matter of respect and personal choice.
