  4. Yes indeed, and it goes back to the early years of World War 2 when the German Nazis attacked Poland. Many refugees and soldiers escaped to England. Ref. (Google).   6. May I suggest the lakeside City of Phayao with it's views of the Kwan Phayao and mountain ranges to the west. Yes, there are a few tourists that stop off on their way to The Golden Triangle, but otherwise very much a "locals" resort. Situated on Highway Number 1 in Northern Thailand, 100kms south of Chiang Rai in Lanna.

  12. Bangkok - THE HUB of falling concrete pieces from buildings, overhead roads and railways?? IMO citizens need to wear safety helmets instead of face masks - or both (taking air pollution into account)!

  21. Very sad, but oh so common, especially in rural Thailand! Where I used to live, these school buses even had students sat on the roof.
