  1. Two other great UK comedians and entertainers
  2. Oh Mister Wu What should I do........... Chinese Laundry Blues (George Formby UK entertainer)
  3. IMO Condor's livery looks ghastly. One of these painted on each side of the fuselage would look more appropriate -
  4. As we did back in 1066 - the last time England was "invaded". Soon put a stop to the inflatables!
  5. I have heard of "leg over" but "leg down" - different!!
  6. Personally, never heard of this brand, but for reference
  7. I agree, along with Pattaya and Bangkok! (no further comment from me)
  8. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 162 seconds
  9. Joe Rogan Who the hell is he? As a UK citizen I have never heard of him until today.
  10. You are perfectly correct, the article is wrong. I use the Si Saket - Choam border crossing.
  11. This is a lesser used crossing which is quieter and not so busy, providing a convenient link between Siem Reap and Ubon Ratchathani for Thai hospitals and Superstores. I use this route to visit the Thai Government Hospital in Ubon. and go shopping. For reference (as mentioned elsewhere), the Cambodian border town is Choam, not Chong Chom
  12. I just completed this quiz. My Score 70/100 My Time 182 seconds
  13. Video courtesy of "J Arthur Rank"? (UK Cockney slang)
  14. Steak should be cooked with garlic melted into butter. Rate this topic As far as I am concerned "no way". I hate garlic and I must not have butter due to its high cholesterol level. Living in Siem Reap, for me, a delicious tender Khmer beef steak lightly grilled (almost rare) served with salad and no other garnish. I also like stir fried Khmer beef with shredded ginger and Khmer beef amok/lok lak. AU beef is okay, but very expensive. Imported frozen. Thai beef is tough as boots here (probably a reject from Thailand). Picture of Traditional Beef Lok Lak
  15. Now a target for the Islamist terrorists? Stupid man - watch your back!!
  16. Is ther some confusion here? Kathmandu is in NEPAL not India.
  17. Excuse my ignorance but how do you know your seat number and show it to the cabin crew? Please do not say "smartphone" because I do not own and cannot use one due to finger disabilities. Here at the airports in Cambodia, you must present your boarding pass with passport to Immigration after arrival. Another Thai "cock up" by morons!
  18. I wonder if these would be available on the THAI menu?
  19. Yes indeed, and whatever the circumstances, a very sad and tragic incident. RIP young lad and enjoy your birthday in heaven.
  20. From my experience when living in Thailand - yes!. I owned and drove a Nissan pick-up which was 20 years old. Each year when applying for Thai road tax, the Nissan had to undergo an MOT at an approved Thai Government test centre. The owner of my local test centre also had an insurance business so I was able to complete all the paperwork with him - compulsory insurance, fully comprehensive vehicle insurance and MOT fee - no hassle!
  21. Yes indeed, it does appear to be rather expensive. In two weeks time, I shall be flying with Air Asia from Siem Reap to Chiang Mai. My "Fly-thru" return ticket, including add-on admin and fuel costs with baggage in the hold, cost me 397US$ (about 13,500 baht). The fare each way was more or less the same - not lop sided.
  22. For reference: Aside from being a potential source of embarrassment, passing gas is common and usually harmless. Most people pass gas between 13 and 21 times per day. Flatulence during the night is generally due to diet and lifestyle, although there are some digestive disorders that can cause excess gas............pressure in the anal sphincter muscle fluctuates in cycles throughout the day. This muscle is more relaxed during sleep, and it controls whether or not gas present in the large intestine is released.........By making lifestyle changes or addressing underlying health issues, you may be able to reduce your nighttime or morning flatulence. https://www.sleepfoundation.org/physical-health/can-you-fart-in-your-sleep
