  1. Good news - my favourite regional airline. Pre-Covid and now, I used/use Air Asia's "Fly-Thru" services. When I lived in Thailand, from Khon Kaen to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Burma (pre Junta). Now I live in Cambodia, from Siem Reap to destinations in Thailand. Easy to book and pay (debit card) for tickets via the internet on my personal computer. Excellent wheel chair service. I have never experienced any problems such as flight cancellations. As a "frequent flyer" I am often upgraded to a "red seat" for free!. I always recommend Air Asia.
  2. Escaped from Chiang Mai Zoo which is below Doi Suthep?
  3. It will become an even bigger joke with 60 day free entry to almost everyone!
  4. Possibly - he should go quietly and retire to his cannabis farm.
  5. Oh dear! With 60 days free entry, watch out Pattaya and Phuket (both in particular) are tidal waves about to form? Your favourite bar stool may not be so in the future.
  6. With respect, looks like yellow and blue to me!
  7. That the two Burmese lads serving life in a Bangkok Prison for the Koh Tao murders were deliberately "stiched up" to save face for a local mafia man's family member!
  8. Sold to you Sir, 15,000 tons of weevil infested "cr?p!
  9. Yes indeed and thanks. After the first big rain storm here in Siem Reap a few days ago, we were subjected to millions of the termites swarming everywhere. All main lights outside and inside my apartment were turned off but even so, some found their way in and scattered dead on the tile floor (aerosol spray). Stock photo of swarming termites - just like I experienced!
  10. With respect, NO, especially when your mobile (smart) phone is stolen, damaged, mislaid or the battery is "dead"! Personally I use cash which I get from my bank's ATM using my debit card. I do use this card when making certain bulk purchases at my local supermarket or booking tickets with Air Asia. I still use my trusty 3G mobile for calls and text messages - ideal FOR ME! You can stuff your QR codes. At home I have a personal computer workstation for access to the internet.
  11. With respect, this may be so but after the removal of the Shah of Persia by the Revolutionary Guards, Iran supported and funded terror organisations that die "the dirty work"!
  12. Whatever, good riddance to a promoter and supporter of terrorism!
  13. With the greatest respect I do! Give me fresh mangoes, oranges, pineapple, rambutan and lychees any day!
  14. With the greatest respect I do!
  15. For reference: Asean's 5 point consensus On April 24, 2021, the leaders of nine ASEAN member states and Myanmar junta chief, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, agreed to the following five points: an immediate end to violence in the country; dialogue among all parties; the appointment of a special envoy; humanitarian assistance by ASEAN; and the special envoy’s visit to Myanmar to meet with all parties. from the start, it was “thoroughly clear that Min Aung Hlaing (Burmese Junta Chief)) was insincere in signing it and had no intention of following it.” https://aseanmp.org/2023/04/24/asean-must-take-stronger-stance-beyond-five-point-consensus-southeast-asian-mps-say/#:~:text=On April 24%2C 2021%2C the,ASEAN%3B and the special e
  16. Oh really and not just the genocidal Burmese Generals with serious mental health issues!!
  17. With respect, not for me. Give me the lakes, forests, mountains and rivers of the North any day for exihilerating experiences - my personal choice.
  18. Who wants a beach - I certainly did not throughout my 20 years living up North in Lanna and Isaan. When I lived in Isaan, the nearest beach was at Ubolrat Lake in Khon Kaen Province. Know as Pattaya 2!
  19. Yes indeed. I shouldn't fancy being a Thai submariner!
  20. What garbage, but this did come to mind:
  21. With respect, not in my book! Cordon Bleu is a schnitzel (pork in this example) that is filled with cheese and ham, breaded with crumbs and deep-fried until it is crisp. The characteristic of this dish is a crunchy outside, and inside tender flesh which oozes melted cheese.
  22. Very much so - and thanks! If only people who like such junk food knew how it was prepared. The last remaining material on a pig's carcass (or other animal) is "vacumed off" leaving just bone. This includes skin, fat, gristle, cartilage, tendons and muscle. It is munged up into a slurry, with all the additives, which is then forced into the collagen and cellulose casings.
