  1. And pray tell what did he achieved for the Country? He seems to have achieved a large amount of money for himself though.
  2. A Bank cheque is normally honored by the bank, as it is not a personal cheque as such. IMO
  3. The only thing I can think of is to carry a copy of her death cert, and stable it inside the Childs passport.
  4. And how do they know it's activated? you could lie just a little bit.
  5. I'm now waiting for my new ATM card to arrive from the UK, Royal Mail, posted at 11am 11/11 Arr BKK 8.20am 15/11 In transit 01.27 16/11 I can't put my address even for registered mail my postman is crap, so it will go to my wife's shop 1klm away, if the postman is not picking up his kid from school and siting eating ice cream, he might eventually deliver it, if he can be bovered init. Yeh a tenner to send. ...............🍴.....
  6. I met quite a few "Stars'' in my life in the UK when I was cleaning windows (no George Formby jokes please) I lived in their area, I also new all of the Pretenders who were my direct neighbors at the time, I never asked for Autographs from any of them, unless they were paying by cheque.
  7. OZ has the same stupid rules, one drunk got run over and successfully sued the Pub.........
  8. And then the dreaded quarantine laws. "You have any lollys'' er no they would have melted "why you have big bag?'' next trip ''why you have small bag?''. Boarding "YOU SAID YOU NOT HAVE COMMPUTER !" I don't it's a DVD player on and on the power trip goes. I would NEVER want to live there again. I'd rather live in the UK. but thanks for the PP OZ.
  9. You are probably right, your leaving anyway so why bother, with the man hours or fines, and all the other BS involved, what if you don't say have 500pounds to pay a fine, lock you up? costing the system even more cash. UK cops don't need photo ops wasting even more man hours, they just get on with their job.
  10. That is probably becoz airline staff were fully aware of the covid situation, and those there, were not forced to go to Immigration for an extension, and your wife didn't have to do 90day reports or have anybody report her staying within 24 hrs. I think education is the reason
  11. Yes I know I have done exactly that. As I said the AIRLINE checks your PP and if you have overstayed or not will inform immigration. Many YouTube vids on UK immigration police on home visits busting overstayers, how can one overstay if you entered on a UK PP ?
  12. The UK Heathrow departure immigration system does not even exist, check in with airline who will do the check for a visa/overstay etc.. if necessary. get boarding pass, go directly to gate, where your boarding is scanned, and off you go. That's in the real world
  13. While agree with you, some of us can't stand for long periods. I have a problem now with having to climb 2 flights of very steep stairs at my bank, the only one left in my province now, where I must go to get my same day guff for my marriage extension this year, next year I may no longer be able to even get up them. No disability access, and I have no idea how to overcome this.
  14. You can't help it being in the 90% bracket, we tolerate you, but only just.
  15. What has been left out is the Chinese cops were being invited, maybe they refused the invitation, lose of face for the Thais, and maybe the Chinese tourists aren't coming back because they heard about this idea and thought, stuff that I aint going to Thailand now, with our cops there.
  16. About bloody time, now sort out the rest of the crapy gun laws, how about locked cabinets for those that feel for some strange reason they need to have a gun, and not allowed to just leave them laying around for kids to shoot them, or anybody to just pick up. And mandatory jail for those who break any gun laws not some low fine.
  17. What authorized hunting is there in Thailand? And what pests need to be shot with a gun?
  18. Drilling holes is boring, termites live boring lives. (rights protected)
  19. Bob why did you change your picture ?
  20. So what happens out of interest if, you say, you are six days over, and then there is a 3 day public holiday? any how worse case scenario 'normally' it is a 2k fine.
  21. It entirely depends on the venue, buy the bucket of ice and sodas, if your eating there, I don't see the problem, its not compulsory to drink alcohol, don't forget to tip the band and staff.
