I have the best of both worlds, I live on Koh Chang, hardly any pollution, in a small village, some of the best beaches in the world, 10min drive away, Macro, bars, pubs, live music, etc. wife has her own shop, 3min away near 7/11, the only disadvantage is going to the mainland for a decent govt. hospital, price of fuel, and of course my f'ing postman. I was brought up in the countryside cities not my thing. 'Cept Bristol city everything was within walking distance.

I only found out from the OZ embassy, 'after' I had done some running around from this end, bouncing between hospital and cop shop they hadn't told me before. . I got so stressed by the whole thing I came out in a horrible pus rash allover my body yuk, i ended up 2 days in hospital. As my friend had MND I had his ATM card, so (illegibly?) withdrew what little savings he had at the hospital, with permission from his family in NZ I had a document giving me power of attorney.

some seem to be completely uncappable of doing anything for themselves without an agent to hold their hand, even scared of immigration, even to re-new a driving license. unless your disabled then that's a different story.

Did he check the weather forecast before embarking on this fatal trip? I would never go to sea without checking, but seems many here do.
