Majority of people understanding of growth is your bank is offering 50% growth on savings over 1 year so you place example B100k into a bank account and at the end of the year back gives you back B150,000 50% growth on your inital deposit Likewise total EV sales for R,Y,1 were 86,075 fot 2023 50% growth on that figure for 2024 would be total number of sales of 129,112 vehicles or an increase of 43,037 simple take 86,075 +50% equals 129,112 -

Spouting Rubbish Last year the total EV sales for R,Y,1 were 86,075 so you reckon by the end of this year number of EV sales based on 50% growth will be 129,112 currently EV sales for the past 6 month stands at 28,651 that means another 100,461 EV to be sold or 16,743 each month over the next 6 months you were spouting the same rubbish a few months ago https://aseannow.com/topic/1320318-bye-bye-electric-hello-hydrogen/page/5/#comment-18710401 I don't believe that the number of ev's sold in 2024 will be more than the 80,075 sold in 2023 I think the finally numbers forthe year ending 31st January 2025 will be between 60-70,000 -

I think you living in cloud cuckoo land majority of EV manufacturers in Thailand have already downgraded their sales forecast figures for 2024 they are not expecting to sell as many EV as they did in 2023 Hence BYD and MG moving to hybrid's as they are expecting hybrid sales to increase over the next 6 months -

The Seal Premium has a 650km range based on NEDC which it would appear that most Seal Premium owners on this forum feel doesn't match real driving This Post states " I have the BYD Seal Premium which is rated at 650 km, realistically I get around 580 km but I do drive conservatively. My efficiency is currently: 13.6 kWh/100 km Battery 80 kw divided by 13.6 = 5.88 x 100 = 588 km range." https://aseannow.com/topic/1257405-electric-vehicles-in-thailand/page/180/#comment-18807216 or if driving a Seal performance range drop's to 450km as this poster stated It costs about 330 baht to fill the battery from PEA for a range of 580km, realistically 450km if you welly it, which I do. https://aseannow.com/topic/1257405-electric-vehicles-in-thailand/page/180/#comment-18807216 And you are incorrect about your assumption that I have ZERO experience of EV's -

As ICE vehicles had 100% market share before EV it's expected that ICE vehicles will lose a % of market share as once you have 100% market share you can only decrease your market share as its impossible to increase market share if you have 100% share of the market if you read the EV facebook group pages the same question always comes up during major public holidays in Thailand from owners that have both ICE and EV's and that question is should I take my ICE or my EV for a long trip and the answer is for long trips take during major holidays take the ICE not everyone has a Byd seal that has a decent range large number of EV's have nearly 50% of the range of a Byd seal premium going on a long trip and its a choice between Byd seal premium and MG EP Plus its a no brainer Byd seal wins hands down -

DLT Numbers indicated that ICE vehicles are substantially increasing each year compare to EV For 2024 257,760 people purchased R.Y.1 ICE compared to 28,651 purchasing an EV A whopping 229,109 people chose ICE vehicles over an EV For 2023 577,821 people purchased R,Y,1 ICE compared to 75,707 purchasing an EV Combined R.Y.1 ICE figures for 2023 and 2024 indicate a whopping 835,581 new ICE vehicles compared to 104,358 EV's In manufacturing terms they focus on how many vehicles did they sell and how many vehicles did their competitors sell in the same vehicle category -

Clearly Before EV's ICE had 100% market share and when Ev's started selling the 100% market share would be reduced I stated that the number of EV sales dropped by 4,086 compared to the same period as last year majority of people alreadly know the reasons why automotive sales in Thailand are down this year Did I suggest that people are turning away from EV's and buying ICE NO I didn't and your post that suggests the opposite is happening people are buying EV's instead of ICE is clearly incorrect and the published figures from DLT show 257,760 people purchased ICE compared to 28,651 purchasing an EV A whopping 229,109 people chose ICE vehicles over an EV And here is my original post which is factually correct "I know EV sales are slighty down for the 6 months of this year February to July 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 "
