When GWM started selling Thai built Ora's in January 2024 there was price reductions ranging from B99,000 to B187,000 difference from the imported versions https://autolifethailand.tv/official-price-ora-good-cat-gt-my2024/ From a marketing point of view Byd might want to take the standard Dolphin below the B500K market which would affect Neta V and Wuling potential sales or they choose to wait for release of Seagull to enter below the B500k market

On June 17, 2024, reporters reported that The 100% Chinese electric car company BYD is preparing to officially open the BYD car factory at WHA Industrial Estate, Rayong Province, Thailand on July 4th. The reporter further reported that This factory will begin producing the first 100% electric cars ( EVs ) for the Thai market. And to support export markets in ASEAN and Europe as well, is BYD Dolphin And previously, Reve Thailand announced the idea that it plans to produce and assemble a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) at its factory in Thailand as well. Because the company cannot import and sell the entire vehicle. Because the tax costs are quite high. https://www.prachachat.net/motoring/news-1588401

Reform UK Overtakes Tories in Polls for the First Time

Yes Arthur Brown, the singer and he is famous for one song Yes lots of recorded recalls in China In Europe there is a recall database if someone is the 2nd owner of a vehicle they wouldn't receive any recall notification from the Brands more so if they don't service the vehicles at an approved dealer workshop would you be happy to pay for a part replacement that you later found out was subject to a worldwide recall and you the replacement part should have been fitted free of charge

What should have happen is that dissolution of Parliament before the referendum vote and have a cross party remain campaign and a cross party leave campaign and the result of the vote would determine who formed the next government to implement the result of the referendum vote -
All vehicle brands for the Chinese market have to report any vehicle recalls to the State Administration for Market Regulation for China If you do a search in Chinese simplified you and Arthur Brown might be staggered in the results that you find if you do a search for vehicle recalls in Thai you will only find a single site and the only recall is for airbags for May 2022 https://www.tcc.or.th/warning-airbag/ Turn around and look at Thailand. Automotive experts point out that recalling cars is rarely accepted to improve standards. Even though car manufacturers do recall, they do it in a way that not formal Unofficial and "not supported by law" often use various methods to announce the recall, such as sending letters to customers or notifying through a call center but not informing the media. Unless the media inquires or receives information from abroad https://consumersongkhla.or.th/recall-เรียกคืนรถ-น่ากลัวจริ/#:~:text=RECALL

In the past buyers were advised by dealer to put down the minimum down payment for a vehicle and put the rest down of finance ( higher the finance amount more commission for the dealership / sales person ) Now finance houses are insisting on 30% down payment and finance loan not to exceed 70% of total cost of vehicle Latest price reduction means customer will save between B30,000 and B50,000 in down payment depending on which Dolphin model they purchase

By having that statement they can fend off anyone that recently purchased at pre discount price by saying the terms are different pre purchase price includes Maintenance service, labor, spare parts for x number of years and free wall charger and installation there again they may decide to refund recent pre discount owners depending on numbers when they did the Atto 3 2023 discount in March and April 2024 they did extend that offer to anyone that purchased atto 3 from January 1st 2024 by offering them the price difference from when they purchased At the moment anyone that has ordered a Dolphin but they haven't received it yet it makes more sense to cancel the order even if they lose their 10% deposit and place a new order if Maintenance service, labor, spare parts for x number of years and free wall charger and installation not important to them

also missing Maintenance service, labor, spare parts for x number of years

I have seen some posts on facebook groups where the Insurance company is refusing to approve replacement battery for water in the battery issue problem for the end customer neither the dealer workshop and the insurance company provides any updates on what the issue is and what the end result will be i see you posted recently where someone got the red triangle of death on their screen after a car wash and the mechanic made the call water in the battery but it turns out later they hadn't got the necessary equipment at the workshop to remove the battery and that the vehicle needs to be sent back to the factory so is it the case the workshop has access to sensors that can detect that there is moisture in the battery how do you make the call that there is water in the battery without removing and opening up the battery It reminds me of years ago when people got the Blue screen of death ( BSOD) some computer shops would suggest new computer was required without performing any form of diagnosis work on what was causing the BSOD

That is not only damage to the car. But it brings damage to other points, whether it's the battery, software, but it has been proven that many cases are affected by flooding. Clearly your back tracking on your original post where you stated that "90% of a Toyota Hilux is made in Thailand? Bull<deleted>. Thailand is still a 1000 years from being able to make or produce a car engine or a transmission" Everyone knows Toyota is a Japanese company Engines produced in Thailand are Thai engines -

Clearly you need to improve your research more posting Here is what Toyota has to say on the subject Soon we were exporting models built entirely in Thailand like the Hilux Vigo and the Fortuner. To date over 7 million IMV based vehicles have been built in Thailand with over 4 million units exported to 124 countries around the world. The IMV project also helped us create a new supply chain here in Thailand increasing our network of local suppliers by 41%, as the production of 2,000 parts were transferred from Japan to Thailand increasing total local content from 60% to 93% https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/corporate/38421226.html Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. (TMT) is the wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation in Thailand, established in 1962. In 1979, Toyota began making pressed body parts in Thailand. In 1989, TMT began manufacturing engines locally. TMT controls the manufacturing of Toyota cars in Thailand and they supply cars to various official dealers throughout Thailand https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Motor_Thailand -
Unlikely to see many Byd seals on the road in UK with prices ranging from the equivalent of B2,1 million baht to B2,2 million baht and the majority of car insurance companies stock reply is computer says NO for policy Exclusive: Some Chinese cars ‘almost uninsurable’ as parts and repair support falters Parts shortages and a lack of technical support are giving insurance underwriters the jitters when it comes to the new wave of Chinese cars hitting the UK The BYD Seal is one example of a new Chinese model that is hard to get covered, with very few insurance companies prepared to underwrite it. We searched a leading comparison site and were offered just three very high quotes, compared with the dozens of competitive quotes one would expect for a mainstream rival. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-insurance/362519/exclusive-some-chinese-cars-almost-uninsurable-parts-and-repair-support

How to protect hybrid battery while out of the country
vinny41 replied to Guderian's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I didn't want to disconnect the battery as that invalidated my insurance due to no security alarm or immobiliser Here is the solar panel charger that I used although it is sold as a battery charger it is actually a battery maintainer I would plug it in to the obd 2 port which is normally just above the accelerator pedal it has a cut off function when the battery is fully charged it must be disconnected before you start the car https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AC1LLQY/ I have also used a ctek mxs 5.0 which is a combined battery charger / maintainer / conditioner it has extension cables so you can charge without opening the bonnet main drawnback I see for using unattended for long periods is it requires mains electric https://www.aprtech.co.th/ You will find good useful information on the toyota uk owners club and the lexus uk owners club my understanding from reading forum posts hybrid battery should be okay if unused for 2 months so long at 12v battery is charged -

Here is advice from Toyota UK on Hybrid lack of use during covid https://mag.toyota.co.uk/coronavirus-toyota-hybrid-car-maintenance/ you could look at an obd 2 solar panel trickle charger I use one on a non hybrid Toyota and the car started 1st time after leaving the car for 100 days without use and that was in the Uk not known for its sunny weather -
It just mentions Toyota as an example there are many different brands producing hybrid's not just Toyota with just 10% market share for EV's Parts manufacturers should provide parts for the largest share of the market which is currently ICE
