Thai men/society appear to have women trained to an insane level.  When I think about how much Western men are trained to pursue women, put them on a pedestal, shower them in gifts and experiences, give them full commitment, and to keep this up for the duration of the relationship.  Then you have many Thai women apparently chasing men, buying them gifts, and trying to win them over, while they drink and cheat and treat them like garbage.

There must be some serious indoctrination going on with Thai girls.  No wonder some Thai people say that having a daughter is like having a toilet in your front garden.  But it never occurs to them to try to address the actual cause.

This one about the toilet is totally new for me! I have never heard of this one.

Because they're from affluent countries and they're prejudiced against the realities of a country such as Thailand. In my honest opinion the women of Thailand have it very easy with the option of becoming a bar girl compared to men who can become the average builder. 1 really pretty country girl can earn in a week what a builder would earn in 5 months

Her pussy has an expiration date! Once it expires nobody wants it anymore!

Every time I visit Thailand (for the last  thirty or forty years or more) I spend an hour or two at Bangkok Airport waiting for my onward flight. Occasionally (once or twice a decade) I overnight there.

Dirty, smelly, over-crowded, crime-ridden and the traffic is atrocious - unbelievable, at any time day or night.

Yeah right, it's the thirtieth best city in the world.

Overnite at the airport? Do you mean in one of those capsules in the basement?

You have a problem Sir, if you cannot see the positive in Bangkok, you shouldn't keep on going back there...

Entire city needs a coat of paint. Really looking shabby.

Needs parks and through rebuild of foot paths, roads, sewers. Traffic laws and regulations

    Senior card BTS for farang.

    Museum lol. No hab

Parks and green spaces no hab

Take the masks off you ignorant people.

    30 doesn't seem so good.

This no hab sounds funny but it's the spirit, the kindness of Thais who try to be nice to foreign people despite the little fluency they have in English. Yesterday I was in the BTS and a Thai girl bumped into me, she said "solly, solly, Sir", I said with a smile, no problem, Mai pen rai, she was so pleased that falang can speak a little, nit nói, Thai! LOL

Normally the vehicle that caused the accident has to pay the costs...In this case the hit and runner...Stupid of the girl to travel without a travel insurance  of course. and of course the bill is too high, as probably for Thais it is much lower..1,6 million THB.. while expensive surgeries here on THais are not half of it, including hospitalization...

Most probably she did have insurance but the moment she sat on the motorbike, no licence, the coverage evaporated. Null, zero

While I agree Thaksin was much better than having Generals trying to run a country with a dictational mindset, (lets not forget the attitude camps) trumping up charges to get rid of popular opposition. And now FFP in the running changes things, unfortunately Thaksin's statement that weed was as bad as opium has put me off him. :coffee1:

Really? How stupid and outdated to say such a thing...

  8. Koh Tao is somewhat part of my life as I did my Divemaster's course there back in 2002.

(After that I continued to become an istructor in the west)

I ended my stay by getting Dengue fever and had to go to a hospital in Koh Samui.

Back then the island was so relaxed, most of the people staying there were involved in the diving

industry, the dive sites were perfect for learners. I just feel sad that the reputation of this beatiful island is so demaged now.

one thing I ve noticed within my own, admittedly limited, circle is that people i know would never dream of touching weed are now trying, experimenting and getting in to it. my neice and her friend are good examples. it's like a new toy for them - ""oooh cookies ..... ooooh ready rolled joints"

And people like me who have had a lot of past experience with it, specially in the teenage years now avoid it like a plague as it creates tolerance, once you smoke some continuously, you become more and more insensitive to it and some people are compelled to smoke more It's really like kissing a mermaid, I would not recommend but still think that everyone should try at least once.
