I'm not sure what's more remarkable the fact that he managed to pull this off for 8 years, or the fact that he most likely never left the country for 8 years. What a lifestyle, boring beyond imagination. One cannot even begin to imagine a life that is that stifling, get out and see the world for God's sake, life is short.
I guess that in his case, money was also short...

Well, it seems that Thailand is no farang's new country, ever.

If a newly arrived immigrant who often does not speak the same language and most likely no college degree can steal your job, then what type of Job did you have ?
Until the end of the decade everyone will lose his job to AI, no matter what degrees you hold. Better learn to relax on Krabi beaches.

Definitely, he came to power to save the country from total chaos. But in a country that wants to pretend to be democratic, an army general who came to power in a coup would never be rightfully valued. Yes, he was a much better PM than any of Thaksin's proxies.

Low dose Mushrooms and LSD are the two most known and effective treatments for PTSD. They are serious game changers for people with this condition. Much better than the garbage the Pharma companies and Dr’s prescribe for the same condition.
You need the knowledge and the education in order to help people in this field. Otherwise you can severely harm people.

It might work in USA but to try it out here was sheer lunacy
I the US it only works if you have a PhD in psychology and experience in this field. Otherwise you could be harming people in order to extract their money.

US guy, figures. Psychedelics are the new thing in the USA, and legal, or decriminalised, in some US states and cities.

So, in Macau 10% of the population visit casinos and if you apply the same metrics in Thailand you get to 37 million??? Since when does Thailand have a population of 370 million?
This article is not reliable. The Chinese people gambling in Macao are from mainland, not local people from Macao.

Before Taksin returned to Thailand he went to Cambodia to ask for the blessings of the Hun Sen family, who has been in power in Cambodia since the defeat of the Khmer Rouge in the 90's.
This dictatorship is now in the second generation, power was transfered to Hun Manet, the son of the original dictator Hun Sen. It's seems that Taksin was a good student when he visited Hun Sen!

Taksin is the original "walking ATM" man,
this is his glory. It only shows that in Thailand money will always come first!

Just now, Polaky said:There is nothing they can do, if they close soi 6 / walking street , thousands of people would be out of work , the attraction would no longer be there, it would force many to holiday elsewhere, just simply rumbling the same tune over and over.
The walking street without the ping pong show is no fun! I recommend that all families visiting Pattaya check out the ping pong show! It's amazing!

So if the hotel rates are this high, then families will just go to Okinawa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia Penang or Langkawi or Bali..
Crazy hotel rates will deter families
Well, just reminding that at least Langkawi and Bali have really stunning and clean beaches, with a lot of nature which Pattaya does not. Pattaya used to have some green, I believe Coconut trees, it's all gone. Some bright idea of some city developer.

Many thanks to the Thai police for doing a great job and keeping the kingdom safe and clean. In my home country in Europe, illegal migrants can roam the streets for years without deportation.
Does anyone know where I can contact immigration to report overstayers? 😜
You now made me curious. What is your home country?
