    I have noticed at the police checkpoints in pattaya that they mostly stop tourists and the locals sail through without helmets . Seen this many times in jomtien and 2nd road.

    All they have created is an artificial desert which heats up the beach more .Plus people have to walk much further to get to the sea over scorching sand. They destroyed Don tan with the road now they going to finish the job,why cant they just leave the beach alone?

    Do they even know what sustainable means? mass tourism overloading the eco system and infrastructure is not sustainable tourism! In the long run more does not =better. Tats goal of ramming ever more tourists into thailand will just kill the golden goose,(which is on life support right now)! There is some hope though with thai national parks closing to let the eco system regenerate.lets hope we see more projects like this.????

    Just when more European cities start to ban cruise ships (Amsterdam and Venice). Pattaya stays ahead of the curve ?????

    Perhaps they shouldnt have opened the dongtan seaside road for 24 hours ,most drinkers too lazy to walk. Better still close it to all motor traffic and return it to the walkers,dogwalkers,children,runners, elderly who just crave a little fresh air and a traffic day out.

    Before the vaccines were out it was reasonable to be scared and scaremonger.If it made people cautious. As someone who worked through covid looking after covid patients in hospital ,i can tell you its terrifying at times. sure we survived but please dont forget the millions who didnt my (father included).

    Its election time and these dimwits are they pretending they care. proper barriers and lighting around roadworks at night would be a BASIC minimum starter, but how often do you see that in thailand ??

    A happy conclusion i got my 60 day e visa after just a 7 day wait. They accepted my passport photo page and copy of my bank statement with my uk address on ot as proof of residence â€Ļ.a happy suprise ????????????

    Instead of ramming more and more tourists onto this island above its carrying capacity the government should focus on sustainable tourism.. But greed,corruption and stupidity is the meta at present .

    iam also applying for the e visa right now.from what has been said is it ok if i just upload a copy of my bank statement which has my address on it (that would prove my address)and state iam a uk citizen that is my permanent residence ?? Or would a copy of not applicable work ?

    I finally got the passport to upload after blowing it up and taking a jpeg of that. Now iam not sure about the residence questions as iam a uk passport holder living in uk now surely i can just upload a copy of my passport for all the residence questions ?? They havent changed the questions on the e visa since it started have they ?As i applied before and got it just forgotten what documents i uploaded into the residence question .☚ī¸

    Which questions where those and did you get the visa no problem ?

    Looks like the throwaway ticket is the way to go,my ticket is non refundable and cant change date , flexible tickets was very expensive (always used to get the flexible ticket option now silly prices for direct flights).

    So i wont be refused boarding the flight to thailand (Eva air) if i tell them i have no visa but that iam going to get a visa exempt when i arrive ??

    Depressing news i dont have the option to get a visa on arrival that makes getting this damm passport upload more pressured. iam worried my passport photo may have faded . Anyway will keep trying no other options now ☚ī¸
