  1. She knew exactly what she was doing, and how much she was being paid for it.
  2. Glad you used 'Full Stop' and not 'Period'' as used in America, which definitely puts a Red Mark under a mis-used English word. 555 Mr Chat now tells me that the word Period WAS the original Olde English for the dot at the end of a sentence. Us Brits changed it, you Yanks kept it. I shall now admonish a girl who says she is ón her period' to STOP .
  3. Yep, a Manchester City game against Everton tonight. Grand Prix is a bit early on Sunday, but Sky F1 will repeat the highlights, if any. I was raised by both family and schools to use correct' English, so it's hard not to notice it. Even the BBC make some bad mistakes. I know I shouldn't pick members up on it, but when I know it is wrong or I get a red underline here on AN, I have to have a butcher's. Scrabble and Sudoku are my only two games, they keep the old brainbox active.
  4. There are many things I do not 'know all better' as you can guess. But I was taught to spell proper English. Americans are wrong with reeducate, and need re-educationg about the correct, preferred more common spelling. I shall let pedophile go as spelling-wise, but the meaning is sexual urges, fantasies or behaviour involving prepubescent children, generally under 13 years old, which Andrew did not show. What was your first book about please?
  5. Please re-educate yourself as to the meaning (and spelling) of Paedophile.
  6. Why the GF, are you having her done too? 555
  7. OK, it is so easy to reply to the 'wrong' person in a thread with many participants. I do apologise sincerely if I upset you by doing so.
  8. I entered with a new UK passport in May with a re-entry visa in my old, washed out passport. Obviously I was allowed back in as the re-entry was flagged up on their computer. Went to Immigration in August to report 90 days, and they transferred my stamps at the same time.
  9. My IO will only do a new 90 days if it is within the acceptable dates, 14 before and 7 after I think.
  10. How do you come to that conclusion please? I did re-read the OP who says his GF needs to know the basics before driving in traffic. I merely asked whether or not she knew the basics before passing her test, which seems to make sense to me. How is it in your country, passing driving test before knowing the basics? And learning to drive in traffic on an empty carpark?
  11. Off topic! 555 You saying that you do not want the high season to be kind to you?
  12. Totally correct Harris, yourself, the two GGs, and anyone who used to be Bob are making AN into a comedy with your one-line insults, the GGs starting stupid threads.
  13. Sorry Harris, I did not realise that in the Pub Section you can start any number of mindless posts per day/hour.
  14. Obviously you will not divulge your BMI....Body Mass Index because you say don't even know what it is, but involve in a health/eating thread. Weight in kg/Height in metres squared. So for me 72 / (1.73x1,73) = 24. Top end of the Normal range. If I want to lower it, I must grow a couple of centimetres. 555
  15. Last year in Lotus it was 89 or sometimes 79 for a 100gm block. Bht 129 this week.
  16. You really are a sad person Malcolm. Firstly by starting such a stupid thread, and then answering with this sort of thing.
  17. In England on a Sunday morning, the sound of pealing church bells can be very annoying if you are hung over!
  18. If I have anything interesting for him and M'soft, they are welcome to it.
  19. So many ways around it though. Try the Rufus method.
  20. You do not have to use One Drive if you do not want. I, however, think it is great. ALL my data files are up there in't Cloud, also on my local hard drives, and on back-up drives. I can access any of those files from anywhere, on any PC I can log into with my Microsoft account/password, and on my phone. Thanks Mr Gates.
