  1. Happiness is an attitude...a frame of mind...that you will persevere through the hard times as sunshine waits on the other side.

It helps to know when to cut your losses when factors beyond your control are causing you pain.

Choose to be happy...and so you will!   ????

I've been fully appreciated to date and have been rewarded accordingly. It's my home and for me, the positives totally outweigh the negatives. I have a very good life and I'm happy.

So, having said that, back to the real point of the thread. Cool with you?

I'm happy for you...if you like living in an unrealistic bubble...it is your business...????

Be sure and report back when you awaken from your slumber...or the bubble bursts unexpectedly of course...????

With all due respect... and I mean that sincerely as I think you might have served military and I respect that... and I know this has become cliched as well... but, what keeps you here?

I have been in many countries, done many things in my life, and when someplace or something was not working, I moved on to something else...

Left Sat 1 week ago...40 degree nights, 70 degree days, some of the best Mexican food on the planet, liter of wonderful white zinfandel wine less than $3, sharpe cheddar cheese, college and pro football...Thanksgiving and holidays with the family...and No Frigging TM-30...????

Sitting here in the USA, I have 6 Thai relatives (Wife's siblings & nieces/nephews) that I sponsored to come here. They fix my cars, mow my lawn, rake leaves and clean gutters for "free".  But it's still better than going back there.  All 6 own a car, and the two elder siblings have bought a house.

They love to visit Thailand, a month at a time.   Only one has become a citizen so far, but two more will follow shortly.  The fee was about 24,000 Baht, but will go up soon.  Chump change.

Back on US soil as of last Sunday...feels good to be home again!
